Jane:
Have you read my analysis of the Grest Sumatran Earthquake on My Page. That took a very very long time (3-years) and very much mental energy. I think it the best thing I have ever written. It drained me - and my computer crashed 10 minutes after the first draft - so I lost it and had to write it again from memory. I am really proud of that. Is that a bad thing?

Mo, hope you and Steve have a great anniversary dinner. My husband and I were supposed to have spent our 25th anniversary in Hongkong (friends were living there at the time); then the four of us were going to head to Australia. We had to cancel out when a job came up (which, having our own More...

all! Rayray...very moving indeed! I haven't been here in a week. A nice read, thank you for sharing. Yesterday we had our planters and front yard dug up, 30 years of an accumulation of all natures greens that we keep nice and called it a lawn, trenches dug for sprinklers as we do More...

Shosho, if you add a liquor it's better! i have tried cognac, armagnac, whisky or grand-marnier when there are no children around because I found once my 3 children aged (at that time) 5,9 and 12 enjoying the truffle box I had offered their grand-parents!!!

Rayray - I just read your treatise on the lunar effect on incidences of earthquake, and I was extremely impressed. I must add that I am thankful I don't live in earthquake territory - since I can usually be found on full moon nights at the ocean's edge, and an earthquake-induced tsunami would not be my idea of a good time.

Rayray....being proud of a wonderful achievement is never a bad thing. From our children's earliest days, we have always praised them for their achievements and let them know how fortunate they are to be so blessed. It is how they handle their blessings that is important. Sharing your talent and inner thoughts in your poems with (us)the world is something you should take pride in.

Rayray - where did you get the great "thank ewe" smiley? Did you create it?

The following headline had me scratching my head until I realised it was talking about a movie:
Longoria Parker's Dead Body is lifeless

Suzy, my body is often lifeless as well.

Jane:
For the big 'Thank-Ewe', I simply modified the original 'ThanK-you' smilie with a bit of microsifted 'omage-composer 'anky-panky. I wish I knew how Angie (Melbourne) creates her fantastic smilies. The other Angie is also brilliant at original design. I am impressed.

As you know, I have, over the past 10 years, frequently visited Sumatra where the big quake occurred. Since the tsunami quake they have been very concerned about every tremor, and they have had several big ones since 2004. I have, in the past, helped friends to build an extension their More...

Rayray - I know that tsunamis have become more prevalent in recent years. Of course, as the world population continues to increase, more lives are at risk every time there is a natural disaster no matter what kind. And, of course, with global warming, our coasts will change dramatically anyway. More...

LOL Suzy.
You understand perfectly. There are two factors: the physical one and the mental. The physical one is from gas-induced, type-2 diabetes; and the mental one is from a total lack of original imagination presented by the TV prgrammes.

Good one Rayray! My physical factor is two-fold: waking at 4:30am and recovering from surgery. And I agree whole-heartedly with the mental factor!!! If I wasn't so tired at night I'd read more, but even a good book is putting me to sleep these days!
