My younger son played the sax all the way through high school. He started with the clarinet in elementary school and played through middle school. But when he went into high school, he suddenly wanted to play the sax, so I bought him a tenor sax. Now does he play either instrument? Nope.

Morning all, yes that is a sax. Maybe the person that submitted the pic called it a trumpet to give us something to talk about.😃

If you can play a flute you can play the sax- same fingering
04/Jun/17 6:02 AM
 |  |

Of course- you may need to turn the sax in it's side

1:24. Good morning everyone.

To be precise, it's an alto sax. There's still hope Shosho, I did much the same thing, played clarinet and a little bit of sax throughout school then didn't play for over 20, probably closer to 30 years. I picked up the clarinet again a few years ago and now play that as well as alto, tenor and baritone sax in different bands.

I hate to admit my ignorance (and NO offense intended!!)...but HOW MANY Tasmanian cities ARE there?
Hobart ...
04/Jun/17 6:28 AM
 |  |

Just to confuse things even more, I think I see a trumpet peeking out from behind the case, leaning up against the portable sound system.

Well, let's see... There's Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, Somerset, Blackmans Bay, Kingston, Ulverstone, Gagebrook, and Bridgewater.

Those are the top 10 in population. Peter???

It is turning out to be a very nice day weatherwise, after the fog and frost have cleared.

And Peter will be happy since both his AFL Cats and Rugby Union Brumbies had very good wins. I'll have to be satisfied with BOTP......
