I hate telephone menus. Four telephone calles to get an address to mail my change of deposit. The stupid thing would not give me a person. even when I asked it to. I swore at it and it did give me a person!!! Someone at least was smart enough to know when a customer has had enough.

Off to the garage to work on my model airplanes. I was going to say something about my antenna Judy, but thought I might get censored off the site. I am building a float plane to fly on a lake near us. I will post pictures when I'm done....

Dorthea, I completely understand! I have a relative who owns a company that makes those blasted phone menus. He dislikes them just as much as everyone else!

Dave: As a child I thought that Haunkkah was neat - they got presents for 8 days. I only got presents on one day - from a Fat Old Man - that watched everything I did - took notes to determine if I'd get nothin' for Christmas.

As a child, I knew one of Santa's helpers - he was a frail old man (as a child saw him), that worked all year fixing toys and dolls. One Christmas eve, my dad took me with him to deliver the repaired toys to children who would not have had gifts under their trees, along with food & clothes for More...

CynB - What is a "Ute" in Australia? Here a "Ute" is a native of Utah.
05/Dec/07 9:01 AM
 |  |

Eve - a "ute" is short for utility - a small tray back truck. An Aussie man must have a ute, never know when you'll need one to move things like furniture, trash etc. Most tradesmen have them. My husband and son in law both have one as their vehicles. People get them in twin-cabs now so they can take the family in them.

My son in law is a tradesman, he's a carpenter. My husband just wanted one!

One more thing before I become a CP.
Most Aussie women would rather have a huge semi-trailer bearing down on them in their rear-view mirror than the ubiquitous white ute. Some of them are maniac drivers!
