I'm constantly clicking numbers (that are correct) and I still can't get under 4 minutes (4:05 today - close). I'm not competing with anyone other than myself!! I must be too old to go faster.??

2:54. First time I can document that I have gone below the 3 min barrier. Yes, it was easy... but then sometimes it takes me ages to do an easy one...
 |  |
Sudoku is easy. Today I achieved a personal low of 57 seconds.

Ken -- Solving easy ones in 3 minutes is nothing compared to solving tough ones in 30 minutes. I am sure if you practice it everyday it will become an instinct to you too. Good luck!!!

2:47 First time below 3 minutes. I tried the method mentioned yesterday (1s, then 2's...) and it seemed to help on the easy and medium but not the hard (can't even touch the tough)

I really enjoy doing and thinking with this puzzle. I'm not so good however I do it better. :-)
 |  |
To Kristi, some of the recent puzzles have started well using 1..2.. etc. But not all, I choose what seems to be the best number and eliminate as far as I can. The harder puzzles need lots of counting until you find a square with a unique number. As long as its fun who cares.

Is anyone else, besides me, reading the comments before doing the actual puzzle???

I am totally hooked on both! Started recently but also agree that the pattern recognition issue does improve with time. Best wishes to all from sunny Puerto Rico!

2:03 I don't pre-study the game board or cheat. Most of it is practice, but I do think that some people have an easier time at it than others. The suggestions that I am seeing from everyone sound pretty good. It's always fun to hear what someone else does.

I thought that all of the fast times were all garbage until I finally did it my self. Fist time to crack 3 min. 2:19 :)

I only discovered this site just over a week ago, and have only recently started doing these puzzles. I'm suprised how my speed has increased, from approx 20mins to 4.21 today (personal best).
I enjoy reading the methods that people use to solve the puzzles - very interesting.

3.55 hello everyone.

4:53 best time had to be a easy one today

really love this site am finding it very addictive, my times are no where near anybody elses, don't know how you do it. Have just tries the 1, 2 method and improved a bit, but am no mathmatician. What sort of age are the people playing? I'm 22 am I just young and inexperienced?
I'm finding that it takes me so long to select the numbers and click the right boxes

I don't know why you guys race the clock, I try to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the puzzles as they go from too easy to very tough...savouring my morning coffee, listening to great tunes, getting lost in the puzzle before the day begins. It is the BEST
