There are these two country farmers milking their cows.
While the one farmer is milking, a fly zooms into the cows ear. The cow starts jumping around, shaking its head and mooing. He tries to
steady the cow and suddenly it settles down. He looks down and sees the fly swimming in the milk More...

A man went to a restaurant and ordered a steak with baked potato.
About halfway through dinner he called the waitress over and said, "Ma'am, this potato is bad."
She nodded, picked up the potato, and smacked it. Then she put it back on his plate and said, "Sir, if that potato causes any more
trouble, you just let me know."

Regarding the early television shows, I watched some of those you've talked about, but my fascination was TV westerns. It thrived on the Roy Rogers Show,Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel, The Rifleman, etc. I guess it was a guy thing!

I lost a carefully researched posting about The Friendly Giant with links. Then I kept trying to post and none of my posts have come through. I closed my browser and am now posting using my mozilla browser and now I think I can post. If this goes through, then I figure it was my 'puter's fault and I'll close it down and make it take a nap.

I remember those westerns, too, CG. (And Westward Ho). On the domestic side, how about December Bride, Our Miss Brooks, Bachelor Father, The Donna Reed Show, and The Farmer's Daughter, with Inger Stevens?

I knew the Canadians would know about it, Greg.

watching these clips I just realized that I know a silly Sunday school song that uses the first lines of the same tune ("Early One Morning").
The "silly" words sound like laughter:
Ho, ho, ho - Ho-sannah
Ha, ha - Ha-llejujah
He, he, he - He saved me
Now I've got the Joy of the Lord!

Bewitched
I Dream of Jeanie
Hogan's Heroes
Star Trek

LOVED 'Have Gun-Will Travel'!

♪♪ Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.
His fast gun for hire heeds the calling wind.
A soldier of fortune is the man called Paladin.♪♪

We didn't have a television set when I was growing up. We mainly read and listened to the radio, it brought more discussion into the household which is always a good thing.

I used to watch "Wagon Train" (among others) RELIGIOUSLY, although I despised Ward Bond. I thought he was a bullying blowhard who probably had cigar breath besides.
I was (I hate to admit it) glad when he died, and was replaced by John McIntyre...

The other show I watched religiously was Johnny Yuma, The Rebel. The theme song was a big hit for Johnny Cash, and I just had to save up my paper route money to buy a plastiv replica of the sawed-off shotgun that fired plastic bullets.

Yancy Derringer!
Jock Mahoney starred with (as his non-talking Indian sidekick) X. Brands (Pahoo)

HI all! Total incomprehension today on this page for me - I've never heard of half of these TV shows. Andy Pandy and André's other ones, yes, ok, but all the US ones...oh well, probably says something good about my age! André, do you remember the Clangers? And their Soup Dragon? Now that was real educational TV for children!
