LOVE the picture! Eri and Heidi, I take it you both ride. Do you have your own horses? I'm off shortly to Stouffville, about a 45 minute drive from here, for my Tuesday riding lesson -- on "Heidi" !! I don't own her; she's a "schoolie". Very sweet mare. There's a picture of her on my page (well, in Flickr). Don't know how we'll fare, it's bloody awful hot. Yup, here, too!

Celia L.... Yes I ride. I started riding Thoroughbreds at 2 1/2 years old, and have hardly stopped since. I have 6 horses right now: Buddy, a Morgan; Red Hawk, an Arab/Appaloosa cross; Miss Kitty Hawk, a Paint; Sadie and Flash, grey and white Pinto Arabian/Paint crosses and Challenger, a Gypsy Vanner. Besides riding, I also drive, and have 1 cart and 2 carriages.

3:22 I have a stack of library books to read about skills needed for business start up. But HAD to stop in and do a few sudoku first to do the mental transition between errands and study. (Well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway. )

Oh, Jane... before I leave.... I AM a descendant of Lady Godiva. She did NOT ride through the town naked, she rode through the town bare-back and astride, a VERY scandalous thing to do back then.

Alas, I haven't gone riding in a very long time, and a horse is not among our menagerie (but certainly on the "someday" list). I used to ride quite a bit as a child, then less and less through my teenage years.
The only time I ever fell off, though, was while riding BAREback.

For all the newbies (and I'll define a newbie, as Ouima calls you, as someone who has been visiting the site for less than a year), you must learn to grin and bare / bear it when some of us old timers get going. The site used to thrive on puns and word plays every day. It was good to see Jane, Judy and Mo resurrect this game.

I'm back, but not BARE-back. Since nobody has posted in an hour, you couldn't BEAR to be without me.

We have been ALL day in Tulsa. Harry had an appointment for his toe, the doctor was backed up only 1 1/2 hours. This is the third week of skin graphs. His toe is healing nicely, we know it will be several more weeks of this treatment before it is healed.

That is good to hear Sue. It has been a long process.
Don't you hate waiting at the doctor's!
