Sudoku Puzzles

native weak links are always true without looking at the grid. i1=3 -- i2=3 in all sudoku's, even if neither i1 nor i2 could be 3.
native strong links are puzzle specific - and probably need to be better defined - as they are dependent upon the current grid state - which may include previous forbiddings.

Hi Nurn - I agree that simply solving by looking at another's manner of solving is not satisfying. But, studying the techinques used by others can be an avenue toward learning... the problem being that it is difficult to settle upon a language to use to transmit how the puzzle is solved.

Hi Pat! Nice solution. Today's puzzle does beg for a unique rectangle solution. Of some interest, perhaps, is that the unique rectangle, presents itself as soon as one sees 3 sides of the hidden pairs 68 and then the almost hidden pair 68.

I finally finished. Easy was easy/med a bit of work/hard, hard, and tough very much so for me as I solve using only finding naked and hidden singles. Sometimes everything goes smoothly, but today I really had to work to get the hard and tough, and in particular the tough. I won't mention the time as it would be embasrassing.
