Very early one morning two birds are sitting at the side of a large puddle of oil. They see a worm on the other side. So ... the one flies over and the other one swims through-which one gets to the worm first?

The one who swam, of course, because 'Da oily boid gets da woim.'

An attorney telephoned the governor just after midnight, insisting that he talk to him regarding a matter of utmost urgency.

A large two engined train was crossing America. After they had gone some distance one of the engines broke down. 'No problem,' the engineer thought, and carried on at half power.

Farther on down the line, the other engine broke down, and the train came to a standstill.

SUSAN, From yesterday's posts, I think midnight is the end of the day, end of a date. I think in Military time, 2400 hours is midnight, attached to the the old date that is ending. 0001 is AM, start of the new cycle, start of the new day.

Just my thoughts on it. You gonna tell us today why that was important?

I might have missed something (a lot) here, as I have my morning cuppa prior to taking dog for walk, but Roses have turkish delight in them - they and fry's turkish delight are the only chockies that have crossed my lips in the last two years.

Susan about the payment my credit card has to be paid before close of business on the day it's due or I incur a late fee & if it's due on the weekend I have to pay it on the Friday, not fair.

Susan - Electronic payments vary in how long they take to go through and so I can't see how you can say the account is paid until the money is 'received' by the debtor and I would have thought the account would specifiy this rather than saying the payment had to be 'made' by the due date.
