Angela from Dallas, sorry it has taken me some time to reply but I have been away for a while at a medical appointment. I think the FDA ban is only a rumour. There was some correspondence a few days ago on this site on the subject. I will try to find it again and forward you the references. In any case I gather that CP from Canberra is sending you some - thank you CP for coming to the rescue.

In the United States, Thanksgiving is held on the 4th Thursday in November. So this year it is on the 23rd.

Finally the Kitty Cat!!!!

Glenn, Sara Beth - theatre folk? I'm so excited to find you on this site. I do plays in SF.

Ian, good description of Vegemite earlier and I would add, for the benefit of those who will soon try it, that initially you might say that the taste is no great shakes, however I'll bet that within a week or two that you will feel like a snack and the Vegemite taste will come back to you and you More...

CP - between us we'll corner the Vegemite market in the US. Kraft should give us a commission.

Jaz - hope you had a good flight, were given GREAT boarding passes and you enjoy a nice warm shower and soft warm towels to help with the jet lag ! And if you're still a bit stiff and sore from the flight......................welllllll...............WD40 girl !

shruti from ca, my acting days are far behind me. I very much enjoy the theater. I attend both the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Best of Broadway tours at the Buell theater.

Sarah Beth - I was in 'Night of the Iguana' and I also went onstage as an understudy in 'Trumpets and Drums.' Both in 1984.

3:11 but suffering from a very weird night's sleep. Have you ever had a dream from which you have woken up shaking? I get the most vivid dreams when I'm pregnant.

For those in Minnesota, my first professional stage appearance was at the Chimera Theatre in St. Paul in 'Arsenic and Old Lace' in 1977!

I guess I just outed myself - I'm a thespian!
 |  |
One of those dreams probably caused your husband to wake and take advantage of the 'moment' - a woman moving during 'the act' can be pretty stimulating - if not unusual!!
 |  |
Wow, a thespian, an enthusiast and a fledgling actor - sounds like the beginning of a traditional joke - walk into a bar...

We may not be acting contemporaries, but it is great to know that there are others like me out there; Sarah Beth and Glenn, happy to make your acquaintance.

2:08 my best so far. maeN

Happy birthday Karen from Perth. Hope it's a good one.

Welcome, shruti! We see 'Season's Greetings' a week from Friday, then Molly Ringwald in 'Sweet Charity' in December. There is also an excellent rendition of 'A Christmas Carol' that we attend about every other year. Even my very hyper younger son could sit through a performance at a relatively More...

I finally solved all of my Windows problems.

I got a Mac.

I keep hearing of people who are named after countries. Sometimes people call me after a country name. Generally, Turkey or Guinea.
 |  |
Nina: I'm learning the counties, albeit slowly, as we're soon moving south from MA to FL. Today, we got the news from our builder in Hernando County that our closing date has been set for December 15. Now, I'll know which direction to send those prayers.
I've had two other friends who've been More...

Angela, sorry I can't find the material I was looking for and in any case it doesn't matter now that CP is sending you some. Remember - 'Too much spoils the flavour' - a slogan from many years ago.
I'll keep searching but there is a awful lot comments each day.

Working again. Ian, most of the vegemite stuff was over last weekend, I think.
 |  |
Hey reg, nice to see you.

Mamacita 2, What part of PA are you in? I'm near Sayre/Athens. We have similar tastes, so I expect you will appreciate vegemite in moderation. I introduced it to my students by putting a tiny bit on saltines; some of them liked it right away. I had been reading them excerpts of Australian More...

Cereal Poster from Canb'ra--thank you for 'dumb and dumber.' My thoughts exactly. I've let 1/3 of my yard go wild, 1/3 to meadow and only1/3 is 'lawn.' But MY lawn has plenty of dandy-lions, as well as violets, clover and what ever else survives occasional mowing. Thanks for posting it again.

Wow - it's great to see so many sudokists getting together! Have a wonderful time everyone.

Margaret - my sign in name is based on my initials. It is just coincidence that when I do post, I end up CPing as it is called on here. These days I tend to do it rather deliberately. But it is also because sometimes I can only check in every few days, and by the time I check archives there are several people I want to reply to.

Shhhh... the secret to getting a really good time...forget to put the timer on until you're three-quarters of the way through the puzzle...

or buy a bottle of white wine all for yourself... which I intend to do on the way home tonight.. Cheers!
 |  |
For instance, Margaret, I noticed earlier today that you said no-one had answered your question about submitting photos. I thought there was an easy link at the top of the page that led you to where they told you photo requirements etc and how to do it - but I've just been and clicked on all the More...

Glenn, that was a funny joke..I'm passing it on!

Hey everyone.

Goodnight, all!
 |  |
Angela, the information you are looking for can be found in the archives for Sat, 4 Nov under the 'Easy' Sudoku on page 2 - look for comments by Jim from Jupiter.

CP from Canberra, thank you very much for the guidance, it was very helpful.

Hello everyone - I have arrived safe and sound. GannieMo and Steve were here to meet me and Billy has since arrived home. The trip was warm, very very windy, with a number of downpours, but the car didn't let me down. They're all stuck into the G&T's right now while I'm just having a coffee.

to the PERTH crowd - have just sent off Ted's credit card to Billy, use it wisely and extravagantly!! Enjoy yourselves!!!
 |  |
fi - do I sign it 'Edward'? I'm good at forgery...

Happy Birthday Karen have a wonderful day!

Cheers to the boys and girls in Perth may the Gin hold out!!!

Glenn, another talented daughter!! I loved the chalking of the toucan. I'm so noncreative that it's not funny and you have to be under the age of 5 to think I'm good at drawing.
As for the butterbells, our summer room temperature is much too hot, and the butter would be gooey.

Son #1 had his last school lesson today - a Physics complex reasoning exam - what a way to finish!! The 3.5 day week coming up is taken up with first aid and CPR training which I think is now compulsory in all Queensland schools for Year 12 leavers. He's already off partying, but as the designated More...

Sounds like the party has started (sorry, gotten bigger) at Billy's place in Perth. Enjoy all!

A big, adorable, sweet-looking cat! Can I kiss his ears, nose, and paws?! Maybe rub his tummy?! Such a sweetie!
