Although I quickly add - perhaps my halo is not really as bad as all that, because I am under considerable personal stress right now - does that 'count'?

I am not sure if I agree with you Fiona.
Yes and no.

It's OK. You can chat again. I'm going for now.
Thanks everyone - for lifting me a little bit out of the doldrums.

Good Maen everyone (hi there CP!)
Had a fabulous weekend in Sydney...really love that city (and it's inhabitants)
Once again I am blown away by the warmth and hospitality of our Sudoku family.
I've been totally spoiled!
Farewell lunch today and off for California tomorrow - feeling a bit sad and happy all at the same time.

I remember all those mixed feelings vividly. What a great trip you've had.

Safe travels, Vici! You have memories to last a lifetime

Oh Fiona! You, of all people complaining about rugby balls? A Scot lassie from a country known for it's design of bar stools for men who wear kilts and where grown men chase little balls around in the grass and other 'rough' places. What's next?

Vici, I envy you your trip to Oz, and I'm sure you had (and are still having) a wonderful time, but I understand your feelings. As Dorthy said when she returned from Oz, "There's no place like home."

You know, Greg, I don't think it's in your general interest to start a conversation about anybody else's "obsession."

I have posted three 'oldies' on 'My Page' (for posterity's posterior).
Sorry! These days I am slow keeping up-to-date

But what I have noticed is how well the 'delete message' button works, even if the message goes unread...thank you, Gath. Even my phone company won't let me delete a voice mail until I've at least started listening to it. This is better.

Ian,
Oh dear! I had to quickly check to see whether you had, somehow, deleted the recent postings on My Page. Then I realised that your post was possibly (but not certainly) directed at Greg.
The men are certainly asserting themselves (perhaps for a change) today. It's all a question of More...

Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.
Robert Service (a Scottish Canadian)

That's exactly what the "delete" button is for.

10/Nov/09 11:10 AM
 |  |

Damn! I need to change my sandals and wash my socks.
That grain of sand has dared to abrade my bunion.
Begone the sands of time.
10/Nov/09 11:13 AM
 |  |

Thou art mere sand. Go hence.
Sand is nothing in this real, not virtual, cosmos.
Humanly indeterminate dimensions shrivel thee to nought.
Begone you grain of sand!
Thou art - but - a grain of sand.

Good Morning everyone.

The boys were happy with the way their exams went yesterday.
#1 son has an exam this evening: 6.45pm - 9.45pm
#2 son, no exam today.

Hastily delete that was not said.
For, if it were, then time would stand quite still -
- and nought would change for ever Mymare.
Then we would no longer think; for thoughts are ever in constant and confusing motion and in turmoil.

Turmoil of ever uncertainty. which would annhul our reason to cause disjunction in our modus operandi - so we could no longer sustain our way of life.
What is this fear that distracts us from our duty - to discover all before out alloted time hath inevitably (?) expired?

With the way my students have been coughing, I thought I'd join the chorus! (to the tune of the An der schönen blauen Donau op. 314 by Johann Strauss or "Blue Danube Waltz")
Ach-ooo, achooo, cough, cough, cough, cough
Kerchoo, kerchoo, honk, honk, honk, honk!

Oh someone stop me before the chorus of groans start!

Ok a cp and it's off to bed for me -
