I have an honest-to-goodness date with my son in a few days. We're going to see the movie version of "Where the Wild Things Are," which was his favorite book growing up. There were a couple of years where we had to read it to him every night before bed! Oh, yeah ... I should probably mention ... our son is 34 ...

Welcome back, Shiela! I have many fond memories of Germany, Switzerland and Italy (never made it to Austria)! We, too, were in Germany during Oktoberfest one year, although we weren't in Munchen, so maybe it doesn't count!!!

I'm not fluffy. Unless "wrinkly" qualifies as fluffy.

How strange. While I was typing my "good morning" post, the electricity went off. When I turned my computer back on (two hours later), my message was still there and submitted itself.

Okay, I'm in the Halloween spirit. My black cat avatar is my wonderful Sam, who has gone to the big litter box in the sky. Years later, I still miss him.

Today is John Wooden's 99th Birthday.

I was at UCLA while John Wooden was the basketball coach!
My sister is a bigger sports fan than I am, and I was able to take a photo of her with Coach Wooden during that time (he's a very nice man!)

Nope, André... Not pink and fluffy today... Today is a 'black & purple' day.
(That's the only thing I could find that wasn't in the laundry after two weeks away!)
But then, I really don't have too many pink fluffy things normally!

Therefore, I am cool.

I almost put on my witch socks today... because of the vacation laundry situation...but my cats told me to wear my clown socks instead. What does that say about me??? (That I must really have jet lag, since I am asking my cats what to wear!!!)
