2:31 Hi to all. She is precious.
Fiona, poor Scott, big hugs for him, horrible thing to have. x

Thought for the Day:

Always use tasteful words. You may have to eat them...I wonder if they sell chocolate ones?

...jeb has it got you shaking in your boots now?...It should!

Great to see everyone in the photos. Was it a new way of mulching the flower beds? x

Fiona, I'm so sorry about poor Scott. I googled shingles to find out more.

Your wish is my command, Oh, Great Riddle Master!

How can you build pig pens so you can put nine pigs in four pens such that each pen has an odd number of pigs?

Answers to my inbox, please!

Since you're home and locked in anyway, Jeb, give it a try!

There is a vaccine for shingles now. Highly recommended.

(To the tune of Aura Lee)
When you go to take vaccine,
take it orally.
As you know the other way,
is more painfully.

I looked too. Nice to put faces to names, as they say. Looked like another fun time.

Well the child is bedded, but is actually in fine form! Have been reading up on shingles and it seems that children who have bad chicken pox before the age of 4 have a higher chance of shingles at an early age - Scott had the pox at 2...Now what is very interesting is something that happens down More...

Ok, this is long but if you're at all interested, here goes:

However one woman stressed how completely ridiculous she had found the idea, how she had gone under duress, how she didn't believe for a second it would work...but it did!
Father-in-law will be carried in the next couple of days - I'll keep you posted with his progress!!

Now what did the doctor tonight say to do for Scott? He gave me the name of a woman who 'carries' sick people...and I will try to contact her tomorrow!!

It must take an older civilization or culture to accept anecdotal evidence so much more readily. Here in the US, it can gain no traction. Several years ago, Southwestern Bell telephone company developed a vaccine for poison ivy to help protect their linemen. They put it on the market and it More...

Fiona - This is very interesting. I am anxious to see the out-come. My mom has had shingles twice! I am sorry to disagree with you, but two of my sons have had the chicken-pox twice! They were both young the first time they had them. Jeremiah was under the age of 1 and Billy, who was three More...

I have a chicken pox scar on my right cheek...my Uncle said rub it with your fingernail every day for ten minutes and it will go away one day. I did it 'forever or so it seemed' it is still there to this day...he was a great Uncle though x

OK, seven wild and crazy women aside, I'm leaving the house for the golf course but be warned, I've got 14 clubs and I know how to use them. For you avid puzzle workers, that works out two clubs per wild and crazy woman.

Fiona, sure seems worth a try to have Scott "carried". What could it hurt. How much would you have to pay the "carrier"? Would it be covered by insurance -I doubt it!

I wish I had known about being "carried" when I had shingles. Isn't it strange that they say you can't catch shingles. I had a dose not long after my mother and I have heard of many people who have had shingles around the same time.

Ian, I'm sorry I didn't reply to your question yesterday about "The Fringe Dwellers" but I don't know if I have ever seen it.

Hefty French lass, is she Fiona? Scott is no tiny toddler!
Who 'carried' your FIL? Are there massive post shingle people running around France? I've had shingles, but I'm 5'2". I don't think I could cart a large shingles sufferer around! Is there a minimum size requirement? I find this very strange.....

My shingles were sort of elongated blisters around my waist, Debby. They didn't resemble the chicken pox my kids had. I think I was about 35.

Have an appointment for the wee one to be 'carried' tomorrow by a little old lady...seems we have to go three times starting in the morning. No sniggering please, straight faces please, remember this came at the doc's suggestion. Will let you know what happens in a few hours! Night all!
