G'day mates. The daffynitions are on hiatus, but here's what I'm wondering about today:
Isn’t it fruitless to eat your vegetables?
And here's today's factoid:
It's easier to find gold than it is to win the lottery.

Kayo - To win our Lotto draws you have about a 1 in 8 million chance. Meanwhile, the chance of getting struck by lightning is about 1 in 1 million. I think I will buy up big on lotto tickets as soon as I've been struck by lightning 7 times.

Lost part in the posting. Number 15 should be:

15. Someone who wears a red and white striped shirt, carries a cane and that people have to find –> a municipality in the canton of Bern, Switzerland

Doug, I think that maybe Neil meant he was wrong about Hal coming fifth.

Thunder here, so I'm up with the frightened dog again. Some one advised me to wrap him firmly in a towel. That didn't work, so I've squashed him into my lounge chair next to me.

The rain is very welcome, but not the thunder. I need all the beauty rest that I can get and I'm definitely in deficit tonight!

1:33. Good morning everybody. I wish the last two South African wickets would just fall so I can go to bed!

Great timing - one did just that.

I woke up this morning to car parts in our driveway and a car in a snowbank facing the wrong way near our neighbors driveway. My husband returned the parts to the car so he could actually get in to our driveway.

We've lived here 13 years without any issues and now we've had two vehicle accidents within the last 6 months. We live on a straight stretch where you can see a couple miles in each direction. Hopefully this was the last one.

The kids are engrossed in a movie so I should go work on taxes. Later.

Nice of them to oblige - the last wicket fell just as I was finishing the 'hard' puzzle (not particularly hard tonight though.) SA all out for 200 in their second innings, Australia wins the test by a massive 281 runs.

Time for me to get a few hours' shuteye - goodnight all.

Until the weather warms up around here my bat will be bundled up to stay comfy.

Serena - I lived on long, steep hill in Northern Michigan when growing up. We lost more towels and washcloths due to car accidents. (Rather hard to ask for the towels back when they're all...!)

Jolly fellow, and for good reason, too.

Hi CG,

You were correct in your surmise.

Hope you are bright-eyed and Curly-Tailed now.

If so, don't tell Kurly Kathy.

I was going to do the weekly grocery shopping, but we have a delightful mix of sleet/snow falling. I can hear it hitting the windows. Looks like I will be perusing the cupboards and fridge to see what culinary wizardry I can come up with today.

The boys are outside playing in all the new snow. As soon as I get my boot saga worked out, little girl and I will join them. It's actually fairly warm here today, 29F. That's almost crazy talk. It's been so cold here lately that I'm calling a temp below freezing warm.
16/Feb/14 3:17 AM

I'm leaving it here on purpose. Whoever wants to top or whee or whatever can. I need to get up and move around.
