I'm afraid I've never met a haggis I liked. To me, offal is awful!!!

Ewww! Gross! What a way to start a fresh, new page - talking about offal!!

Yes, Kathy, you must come to Fionafest. We moved the official roast (um, I mean "lunch") to Friday, July 24, from Wednesday, so you should be back from your trip by then.

I expect the reason Fiona hasn't set a teaser tonight is because she is practicing to turn up early - like this Saturday and pipe you into your party, Jane

I'm back. I see you've had a lot of fun taking the proverbial p**s for the last two hours.

Heidi - last page "what sort of brain googles a gorilla playing bagpipes" BRILLIANT!!! I burst out laughing and that doesn't happen a lot!

You have no idea how much I wish I could be there!
But I have a doctor's appointment that Friday (which I have changed once before) and 2 other commitments that weekend that just make it impossible.

So I'm going to get slapped about for daring to pick you lot up on your bad English, am I? A yard, as André quite rightly said, is for lorries (sorry trucks), and chickens, not a place where anything grows or flowers. A garden on the other hand is a thing of beauty - I only have a garden, definitely not a yard.

I believe that since Fiona and her family will be on vacation, you shouldn't expect her to play the bagpipes. However, you could invite Jeb and Shosho to play for you. I think you should concentrate on asking her young daughter Carla to sing you a song at a karaoke.

I wasn't intending actually playing the bagpipes CG, but there's a pile of other uses that come to mind.

A brain that thinks, "Hmmm. What is the worst image that would give new meaning to 'Scottish heritage'?"

Another busy busy day in the inbox for yesterday's riddle - Kathy, CG, Jane, Margo, Judy (the nice one), Betty, Rayray, lonewoof, Shiela, Keith, Mo, Heidi, Aileen and Angie all came up with the following answers:
1. Back to Square One
2. Blind leading the blind
3. Hold your Horses
4. The pen is mightier than the sword

Gosh Fiona, now there is an image from your last comment that could rival Judy's pointed sticks!

oh don't think too hard kathy - just google!

Are they called yards because they are 3 feet square?

Kathy just ignore my message, but I do thing Fiona is more important than any old doctors appointment

Here's today's one - answers to the I love haggis inbox please!
I live above a star, and yet I never burn,
I have eleven neighbors, and yet none of them turn,
I am visited in sequence, first, last or in between,
PRS (& sometimes Q) are my initials,
Now, tell me what I mean.

I agree with you there Sue. Two against one now Kathy!

He sheathed his sword and as he wrote the blind horses were led back to square one. Did they pass GO and get $200?

Way too easy Fiona!

Well I thought it was hard. Anyway, now we have the Maryland bird saying she's in charge of important functions up north on the weekend of our party. What about being in charge of us lot on a beach in Florida then?? That will certainly stretch your capacities my dear and look pretty good on your CV too!

Debbie--the bikes are at my neighbors yearly Harley Davidson Rally--they invite us so we do not complain about the noise.
Jane--sounds like you are having too much fun. What is the saying about best laid plans?

Oh, it's way more than two, Fiona! My little inbox is overflowing. (never mind, Judy!)
Thanks, everyone. It's nice to feel wanted.

Oh do we have to beg now then?? You're very similar to the wicked witch of the west - she had the whole site gang up on her just to get her to join the site! Some people need so much encouragement it's almost stomach turning!

I repeat..
I'm supposed to tell everyone that I am abandoning my duties because I'm traipsing off to Florida to listen to some crazed Scot toot her bagpipes?
And my doctor has SHARP instruments!

Nike Nike Nike Kathy! Just do it! This will never happen again, never ever ever - your raffle will be on again next year, and the next and you'll have SO much more fun with us than pulling the winning lottery ticket out of the hat with a flourish for the cameras! I'm right, you know I am.

Andre - for Aussie interpretations delete #3 builders yard except among the under 10s courtesy of Bob the Builder and, to a lesser extent, their parents. Move #1 and #2 down and insert at #1 Backyard as in the garden usually located behind the house or, indeed, any locale with which the speaker claims to be familiar.
