While Robyn was traveling this summer she always had a book of sudoku puzzles with her. She is amazing with the hard puzzles now. She can finish a mind numbing puzzle faster than I can finish an easy one!

Angie,

I have been so incredibly busy that Sudoku had to be put on hold. The past two years have been devoted to creating and launching two new wireless certifications for my company along with the five new week-long courses needed to support them. On top of that my father is in very poor More...

Yes, Glenn, you were missed! It's good to know that life worries have eased up enough for you to return!

I should have waited for another 4 minutes and it would have been 2 hours since CP posted. Bugger!
Another beutiful day in Brissie today. 29C is expected - not too bad for winter. We are expecting 23C tomorrow but back to 30C on Saturday. At this rate I'll be wearing shorts and tshirts sooner than expected.

Ian, I'll work on that, but not just at the moment.

Let me think about that...

"I just can't wait to get to work on my patience"?

I have no patience.

Rolanda:
That is an interesting variant on that verse. It would scan much better if the final line was:
"never in a man"
Also that avoids dispute about what "man", without the article "a" means.
If it means "mankind", as is grammatically suggested More...

"Just bill the unvirtuous patients, and be done with it."

There was a folk song of Dr Freud when I was in college. I vaguely remember a line, something like paying big bucks to lie on someone's couch to say confession.
17/Aug/09 1:56 PM
 |  |

When I read them in my teens; of the three - Freud, Jung, Adler - I liked Freud least and Jung best. I think psycho-analysis is can be a lot more than 'confession'. The originators are not charlatans - but many followers-on are - and as for most psychiatrists - they are largely a joke!

For the public, psychiatry just provides more people to stigmatise and persecute as scapegoats - it is a modern public sport - like rollerball.

Goodnight from me also, Mrs Calabash!
I think you live in Hawaii, where a calabash is a large bowl (mixing). When you are a jumbled family of all sorts of people, not necessarily blood related - you are calabash cousins. It's a term I love.

It was a reference to his first wife who died on Valentine's Day. She loved the town Calabash.

Calabash is all over tropical parts of the Americas, and the 'bottle-gourds' are used as mixing bowls or containers.
