I think the Christmas rush has started in my part of the world.
Today is my last day at work this year, so that involves paying everyone and doing the month end reports, statements etc as well as paying the GST, cleaning and tidying my desk and trying to keep everyone up to date with what they More...

It has warmed up here and it has been snowing all evening. It is now 01.30 hrs and still the white stuff is descending, quite unusual for this part of France, so I must away to my electric blanket warmed bed. Goodnight all.

"Orange Bowl Still Life" 3 of 5.
I used to have a wonderful Honeybell Tangelo tree. Tangelos are a hybrid orange. But it was killed by the Frances_Jeanne_Wilma trio of hurricanes. From its roots a lemon tree has grown that gives hundreds of lemons so large they are mistaken for oranges!

Rayray, maybe Mother Nature thought of the color first and we just call them as we see it!!! ROFL!!!

I have posted my "Favorite Alligator Photos of 2009" and one Crocodile as well. All the alligators are wild, the Cuban Croc in a zoo.

Ooooh, Jim, remind me not to pick from your tree!

As for my moniker, Wagdy named me! I do miss him!

Maybe I should post a similar still life with my tree's lemons? I am told they are Myers lemons but I think they are a unique cross between tangelo and lemon, yeilding a uniquely sweet lemon juice as well.

They also have some NASTY thorns!

But when the tree blooms in Spring I leave the windows open. Because as the song says "the lemon flower is sweet."

It was a surprise to get five golden rings!
I now have one for every finger.
You truly are impossible darling, yet oh how I love it!
Quite frankly, all of those squarking birds from the previous days were starting to get on my nerves.

Oooh, Myers! I like eating those! We had a farmer visit our school and he brought those lemons. The kids and I were rather dubious about trying them but once we did, we looked wistfully for more!

Every year my mom sends us a box of oranges and grapefruit from Florida where they live. Yum! Much fresher than what's in the grocery stores. My daughter had her 6th grade choir concert tonight. Tomorrow (Friday) is the end of school for my kids - then we can sleep late every day for a few weeks!

I have now added my "7 best photos of Flowers 2009".
All of the flowers in the photos are wildflowers, except the purple one, which is a tree flower.

Whacko !!!! I've finished work for the year.
They look like Valencia oranges. I prefer Mandarins especially the murcott variety.
