Sleepy from the allergy med, but looking forward to taking my Mom out to lunch and running errands in a little while.

The cold continues in Sunny California, as I sit in my chair with a throw wrapped around my legs and feet with the heater on!

Aileen...it's 6am here in Brisbane and I have the ceiling fan on high to try and cool down. I have to sit on a towel on my dining chair as the sweat from my legs is so uncomfortable. Thanks Aileen...I think my Mum looks great for 80 and she is so active (bus trips,indoor bowls, lunches etc) she has a better social life than I do!!!! and, I might add, is a very switched on lady....

Good Maen to all in Sudokuland. Thankyou for all your thoughts and prayers yesterday. The interview went very well I thought, and I hope to hear back today. Even if I don't get it, it is a huge confidence boost to know that I am considered employable after being out of the workforce for 7 years!

Glenn, just checked out those photos, and you are right, they are spectacular! It is hard to really fathom how huge the universe really is!

hey Deb/Brisbane we've been having your humidity down here in Melbourne for the last several days, extrememly muggy ...........now this morning... finally ....... it's RAININGx! good soaking stuff too. So thank you everyone who helped to make this happen.;)

Mildura has had an overdose - on the radio I heard 45mm in half an hour. On the Bureau site it shows Ouyen (about half an hour south of Mildura)as having had 23mm (just about an inch) between 9am and 9.30 this morning so it would seem not to have stopped yet!
Mildura is a long way from Melbourne More...
