Thanks, Topaz.

What has been puzzling me: people are lining up literally for days (tents etc) in front of stores to buy Play Station 3. One store won't even let them go to the restroom or they lose their spot. Maybe I don't understand the importance of Pay Station 3. What would you line up for several days to get?!

Congratulations to the Ohio State football team for a great win today. It was a very close game(42-39), but OSU played just a little better than Mich. I hope Troy Smith wins the Heisman Trophy - he deserves it.

Mamacita - congrats to Penn State, too, & thanks for your mention of Bo & Woody, both of whom were legends in the history of American college football.

Judy, thanks for you congratulations. Wow, what a game. It was anybody's 'til the last 2 minutes.
Well done to two fine college teams.

How about a sports mag, like Racer or Rugby?

Weekend Rugby Internationals results so far;-
Wales 61-26 Canada
England Italy 16-23 South Africa
Scotland 34-22 Pacific Islanders
France 11-23 New Zealand

Tomorrow Sun @16:00gmt(Mon. m'night - 3am Oz)
Ireland vs Australia
Should be a good match, pity most Australians will be abed.
 |  |
Corky, I hope that our Rugby players don't upset Ireland as much as out International Footballers did.
 |  |
That should be
England 23-21 South Africa
Italy 16-23 Argentina

Carol, People need a mission (here or there) in life and for some people that mission seems to be to be the first to get hold of the latest play station. I have never played on one and I don't understand why anyone would want one at all ... BUT they might not understand why I spend time on this site either.
 |  |
fi, was out of the country when that was going on,so missed it. But the general concensus is that it is the end of those international games.

Rugby League is alive and well in Brisbane. Headline from FoxSports news about Australia's 33-10 win last night in Brisbane 'Australia runs riot over Great Britain in front of the country's biggest league Test crowd since 1974'. Now for the final against NZ next Saturday, then it gets even better More...

Hi Lauren. I'm back on; my son has moved on to his next birthday celebration. By the time we sudoku folk hit the 5th page, activity tends to slow down . . . I have to go set a mouse trap. Unwelcome guest arrived while we were eating dinner. Tis the season for them to come in out of the cold.

Earlier I made a comment about child play...
I still feel the same way, but, since having DONE the hard JIGSAW~ I decided to add this:

IT looks more like a photo shoot, one in which the photographer was trying to capture the innocence of a child portraying an adult figure, very similar More...

CG: just reading back posts now. there is some common sense as well as humour in your 'guys' rules.' But Chris Columbus not needing directions? Thinking he had found India? Does that mean it doesn't matter where you end up or where you think you are just as long as you get home alive?
 |  |
I agree with Anew AND Topaz re: kids' play. I grew up in a hunting family, and did lots of target practice. Wasn't allowed to join the Junior Rifle CLub or hunt 'cuz girls/women didn't in those days. But I also had a rule with my kids: no pointing any shooting-type item at people (including More...

Frustrating. takes so long. must mean i need more practice.

it's mine...yaw'll cnat take this from me!!!

Real men do not ask directions.
Real men use a map.

BTW, Columbus discovered America, because he thought the world was smaller than it really is. People laughed at him, because even the ancient Greeks knew the world was round AND how big it really is.

On a more serious note:
Would you want to live forever? Apparently we seem to be programmed to die. Without it, our species would never be able to adapt to a changing physical world. Evolution occurs between generations, not within one.

Now that people are living longer, they are getting More...

Canuck Greg - I respect your opinion about the weapons/toys pic. It is a shame that some parents feel so compelled to hinder imagination instead of guide it.

Evening all. Have chuckled away as I caught up on the posts since i went to bed on Page 1. ''Teats'' made me lol, CG - a freudian slip?
