Donny Osmond was pretty ok but you know David Cassidy was the bad one we loved just that bit more and as for Les from the Bay City Rollers....!! Yep, we're all sad 40-somethings!!

Everyone is more concerned with their health lately, so when you visit the doctor or the clinic, keep in mind this medical terminology:

Artery -- Study of paintings
Bacteria -- Back door of cafeteria
Barium -- What doctors do when treatment fails
Bowel -- Letter like More...

Canuk Greg, we are not discussing their sound! It's their buns that are important to this discussion!

UNLV just beat Wisconsin to make the Sweet Sixteen.

Hot cross buns? Hambuger buns? Whole wheat buns? Didn't realize these people were also bakers!

I am amazed at this photo, that is some serious neck turn.

Just wikkied David Cassidy after reading the comments. Oh dear... Still has the authentic cheesy grin.

From teenage years, David Cassidy so gorgeous..saw him at Milton tennis courts in the 70's. Darryl Braithwaite be still my heart..saw him at Festival Hall and was on the floor two rows from the front..David Essex very nice....John Farnham in his 'Whispering Jack' days 'HOT' and still my favourite, personality wise and looks, and he's in his 50's.

John Farnham was a bit 'poofy looking' when he was young so didn't do much for me when he was 'King Of Pop'. Apologies to those who take offence to the above words. Perhaps I should say he looked very 'cheerful'.

just had to, couldn't stop myself, sorry - and the song that made us go gooey at the knees by David cassidy...

Cherish is the word I use to describe
All the feeling that I have hiding here for you inside
You don't know how many times I've wished that I had told you
You don't know More...

Has it been this slow in the week plus since I last got to check in?
Maybe I didn't miss too much excitement?
My Aggies are in the Sweet 16 for the first time in 27 years!!

JUDY - a late thank you!!! I am trying to not get too excited, because I have been disappointed too many times in my many years. I am really happy no matter what happens now, especially considering that three years ago we were 0-16 in conference play.
Off to write a quick e-mail and then grade some long overdue school papers. I will probably check back later this evening.

Billy,
Didn't the Association do 'cherish'?? Loved that song!! My big crush as a teen was Chad Everett from 'Medical Center'..and Dr. Kildare before that. Guess I have a thing for doctors..

SUZANNE - I saw the Association live back in the early 70's. When they did 'Cherish', it became rather crude with their banter about the title.

Association did Cherish in 1966 David Cassidy in 1972.

How about Annette?

Jack Cassidy would be the one I liked.

Who is Jack Cassidy?
19/Mar/07 9:13 AM
 |  |
Hell, I liked hop-a-long better than David.

Billy, Maybe David Cassidy did sing 'Cherish' but the Association sang the original version.

Ix nay on the David Cassidy and Donny Osmond thing anyway.

Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Beach Boys, Beatles and Rolling Stones. wow, I'm old.
19/Mar/07 9:17 AM

Suz, Ed, Kate - I saw the 'light' in chatroom just now and am now aware that david's version was not the original - not sure if i've heard the Association's version.

The Beach Boys, Cliff Richard, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Rick Nelson, anything DooWap.
I'll now grab my walking frame and toddle off.
Anything after the 60's is modern to me. Give me a song with real meaning in it's words like -
'She wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini' More...

what about the immortal 'yummy yummy yummy I've got love in my tummy'?
