Good Maen, good people. I am supposed to bop over to the Ann Arbor Street Art Festival with Burl tomorrow to meet some people who will have booths there. I am bringing my crutches for stability in the crowd and as much sympathy as I can muster.

I think someone should become obsessed with a number much greater than 22... once this goal is achieved, all traffic & visitors - kaput!

Peter, I might have to do some googling as my parents didn't get a TV till I was 16. Mainly because there wasn't a good reception until we got our own tv station in Newcastle.
20/Jul/17 7:52 AM

That's OK Amelia. We didn't get TV in Aus until 1956, so you'd have had to wait anyway.

BREAKING NEWS!
For those of you who remember the picture of the regal male lion I posted to my gallery a couple of years ago (specially for Kathy and Judy, who had some rather interesting comments on that picture):

A year or so ago, the female lion died. The keepers say that the male More...

Here's food for thought... We got our first TV before we had indoor plumbing!!!
20/Jul/17 9:45 AM

It didn't seem odd until I grew up!

TV before indoor plumbing??? Are you a Yooper, Shiela?
20/Jul/17 10:01 AM

33. There's another favorite number.

No, HalT! I'm a Troll.
I grew up 'under the bridge'! (Northern Lower Peninsula area.)

We got the TV in 1956. I called my sister to verify the TV acquisition - she said it was a gift from an aunt who lived in California.

What a good idea Joyce, and Hal's idea of 33 is a good one. I think the sailors have fond memories of a beer called 33 - there is a ba moui ba connection I think.
It is not too far to page turning time and then, might I suggest 44 for the Wombat clan, after all we have 4 legs and two of us More...

I've got a number of theories about why there are so few posts. People like to be involved in a conversation, and some of us can't read and/or post early in the morning and so we tend to miss out on these conversations. In particular if you post (at least in my case) you like to get a response.

And then onwards and upwards to clickety-click.

When Phantom was making satirical comments, people used to respond quite late in the day, and miracle of miracles, the next day. Now those comments were humorous and most people got a mention. Some of us obviously aren't funny enough or at least interesting in some other way.

Right Peter. Can I suggest that people either check the site late in the day, or look back to the previous day.
