2:12, good morning all. You've got me craving coffee now Shiela but it's about 5:15am and I don't want to wake the children by starting up the coffee machine (which sounds vaguely like a steam train.) I guess I'll have to settle for a cup of tea.

I haven't been to a beach in France in many, many years, but we always went to private beaches where you saw the same people day after day. All the women went topless - from babies to elderly matrons. There were no voyeurs (at least not that I was aware of!) Jaime took windsurfing lessons, More...

3:29 Thanks for the photo. It made me do a little research about Pula and Croatia. I guess I never figured that so many Roman and early Christian sites would have survived in that area.

Reminds me of a story. We were staying in an apartment in a hotel in Cap d'Antibes on the Med. They had a beach, but we preferred to go to the other side of the peninsula because the wind was better for windsurfing (or at least that's the reason Jaime gave me - I still think it was the More...

My father-in-law had prostate surgery. We brought him to the hospital at 7:30 a.m., and he was operated on at eight. We were amazed when the hospital called at noon to tell us he could go home.

Two months later our beagle, Bo, also had prostate surgery. When I brought him in, I asked the More...

Hi all. I've just done the pre-dawn breakfasts & seen the 'workers' in the family off, so now I have time to myself to join you for a coffee (if there is any left). Have to be quick though as the next shift will be arising soon!

I think I'm just having a computer illiterate day. Will try again tomorrow. I've had to drink some red wine to get over the trauma. I've uploaded loads before just can't remember which order to do what. I think I will blame the french administration system after More...

Hello World....I've been busy and haven't kept up on many comments over the last few days and will most likely just pop in and out to try and stay in touch...Preparing to go to a four day Jazz Festival over the Labor Day holiday at the end of the month...and for some reason, I've had a lot of company recently....It feels good. Stay safe and enjoy your blessings.....Peace.

GMo - liked your friends question to Lady Godiva and loved hearing from Heidi what the scoop was on that one. Always so interesting here!
Glad all are safe in Florida for now.

Vici - that was many, many, many years ago! I might still be doing it if it weren't for that darned global warming. It's played havoc with the earth's gravitational force.

Heidi.... I was reading about Lady Godiva and apparently her ride in public happened sort of 900 years ago.... are you related to this same one or do you mean that someone in your family kept the tradition alive? Engeneer dept of University of Montreal had that kind of tradition until 9 women got killed by a mass murderer.... one of them was a cousin of my brother in law.

12 women enrolled in engeneer program + 2 out engeneer were killed in 1990.

Tami, it's wonderful to hear that Fay seems to have done more good than harm. I can add to Heidi's news about Lady Godiva, not only did she ride astride the horse but she also had men's britches on, which by itself was worse than riding astride so the 2 together...........Hello everyone!
