Rola: No, now I have a freezer full of shrimp. Not sure what to do with 30 pounds of shrimp. Anyone visiting in the next year will get shrimp for dinner. Better than live chickens wearing my winter coat though. These guys look pretty dead, no heads.

You can smoke shrimp?

There must be near a million ways to fix them, so that helps, but I understand how you can get tired of ... well, anything you have too much of.

Humm, the one way I'd never heard of.

Rola...I'm waiting for a recipe.

I just put crab boil in a pot of water and throw the shrimp in and try to check it before all the water dries up. I am not into fried food, bad for you, besides when the oil gets real hot and left for hours you can burn the house down. When the water dries up it just ruins the pan.

Bummer, I was pretty excited about learning how to smoke shrimp.

We have a hugh smoker, my husband is into that. He smokes chickens( without winter coats on) and mullet, also BBQ smoked ribs. The smoker is out from the house about 700 feet from the house down a trail.

Somebody's else cooking always tastes better than you own!!

???, why bother with the cooking when husband can smoke the shrimp in the huge smoker. You could be doing more important things. Bulldozing, Riding Horses.......

lol Keith, yes I guess it is scary. My kids think all toast is black when done. If they get it in a restaurant they send it back as undercooked. They are use to it coming out black and then scraping off the black stuff.

The ride home from North Carolina was over 12 hours, about 6 of which were in the pouring rain. So it's off to bed for me, too. See you all tomorrow!
