'Twas the night after Christmas and all through the trailer, the beer had gone flat and the pizza was staler. The tube socks hung empty, no candies or toys and I was camped out on my old Lay-Z-Boy.

Gentle reminder to pet lovers out there--watch those small tree ornaments, poisonous plants, pet toys with feathers--so many hazards at Christmastime for our animals. And the increase in trips to the vet because animals get sick from eating too many rich table scraps ...

Good Morning all. Number 1 son has just announced that he and his girlfriend have arrived in England from Germany after a 25 hour journey door to door. They planned to join Number 2 son and his wife for Christmas in UK travelling by train - but that turned into a disaster, so they rebooked by air More...

CP, you must have had a very good grammar & spelling teacher like I did. One of the best teachers I ever had was Miss Clara Woods, my 9th grade English teacher. She is the one most responsible for making me pay attention to all the little details of everything I write & read!

Shosho, that was hysterical.
Got a good laugh out of yours too, Greg.
Also chuckles thinking about lost presents, been there, done that!

Ian, a very good reason for staying at home, methinks. I have never been one for travelling at Christmas. Hope the boys and their ladies are very warm and comfy, and have a great Christmas together.

Today the temperature is rising to 36C, tomorrow will be slightly cooler, and what are we expecting for Christmas Day? 22C and rain! Sounds like another year that I will have the fire going in the middle of summer! I know it's not freezing weather, but when you are expecting hot, that's bl**dy cold enough!
