I have a large butter churn and some 'pats' and patterns for putting on the butter. I grew up on a farm and we made our own butter until we started selling the milk to the milk factory for processing. The same time as we had electricity connected. (I now live in suburbia)

oooh, skiing.....won't be long now. Labor Day weekend always marks the beginning of the "itch", with the big Sniagrab sale across Denver. Friends were camping near Georgetown last weekend and said there was a hard frost. And Kathy talking about Switzerland has winter wonderland on my mind. (which is really not helping me cool off in today's heat wave, unfortunately)

I made butter a couple of times when I was 13-14yo and used to milk a cow before going to school each morning.
