I have not posted much over the last seven months. My mother slowly was passing away of pancreatic cancer. After fighting the good fight, she lost that battle on September 16 at the age of 78. She lived her life the way she wanted to, and told us not to grieve her but to celebrate her life. I spent More...

Jim, we've missed you and are so sorry to hear of the reason for your absence. I lost my mother a few years ago and still feel the sadness, but in time we learn to cherish the memories of the happy times.

Having been through losing both my parents to heart disease and strokes years ago, I understand what you've been through, Jim. I wish you the best in getting your life back in order now she's gone while keeping the good memories fresh and near. I must go look for a bottle of Black Jack Daniels.

Shosho: You blew it, you missed the joust - they played without any rules. I mean Jane using those large tongs that they use to lift 25# ice blocks as her poker, then spanking Judy as she is laying their bleeding. There is still some food over there and the band has just arrived. It starts on page 3 and soon will be on page 7.

Jim
My condolences to both of you and your families. It is trajic when you lose both parents in such a short period of time,Kim. When the last parent dies people are surprised at the feeling of being an orphan no matter how old we are, most of feel almost an abandonment, so take care and we will keep you in our prayers

Sorry about your mum, Jim.
Both my parents died in the same month years ago - yes; they really did; so I might sympathise.
It is not unheard of, here in UK, for theives to enter deceased's premises during a funeral. It is usually an 'inside job'; members of the family keen to lay their hands on items. Perhaps it is part of the 'unhappy family syndrome'. Is Jupiter a suburb of St Louis?
