Yes Judy, we are surrounded by Sequoia Natl. Park (or Sequoia Monument, as it's now called). There are 2 or 3 -or more- tracts of private land on the Tule river shed. We are just below 5000 feet and love it! Spring is definately here. Birds are nesting, flowers are blooming and I'm delighted with it all!

I'm jealous, DOT, as you get to spend the entire year in such glorious surroundings! Then again, we cherish our days in the mountains even more because we have time to anticipate and yearn for them! Spring in the mountains is fabulous!

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers! Spring has sprung here. I planted my tomatoes and basil this week. I hope this doesn't bode for a hot summer. On the plus side my son had perfect weather for his boy scout camping trip to Angel Island last weekend. He said the views of San Francisco from More...

We gained an extra hour of sleep here in New South Wales as the clocks went back. Roll on Autumn. Yesterday was a stinker at 35 degrees celcius - and it was so humid it felt every degree of it. A much more pleasant 21 degrees max forecast for today, windy and overcast. As it should be in Autumn.
