My youngest son works on the checkouts at the supermarket, a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday a customer was buying 4 bananas, which scanned up to approx $9.00, she said 'no thanks' too expensive. Later in the day just before closing the bananas went down to $4.99 a kilo........ the time to buy bananas is Saturdays just before closing......(we dont have Sunday Shopping here in Perth)

School here in Western Australia went back this week - Term 3 - after 2 weeks holidays..

ROLA They only go in the freezer during the day with their coats on (my coats that they won in the law suit). They come out at night when it is cooler outside. I joined them the other day when it got so hot, we had ice cream with chocolate syrup, yum.

Rola, don't know where you shop in Perth, but all, as far as I know, or certainly most IGA shops are open, and always have been, on Sundays. They used to be called Dewsons, Supa Valu etc. In Perth city itself, the shops are open after 1.00pm and of course all Saturday.IGA are independent WA owned stores and should be patronised over Coles, Woolies etc.

JAMIE The last night our guests were here we let all the kids make their own sundaes, fun to watch. Not a royalist From ... , you could quite easily be right. I rarely post original jokes, and didn't this time, a mere cut and paste. I did read that book many years ago. I think the only anecdote I vaguely remember was one about a German (or at least foriegn) Director, but the bits I remember wouldn't get through the censor
