The air quality was bad in Northern CA yesterday, too, but in our area it's due to the winds from the east. Looks better today now that the winds have shifted. I hope the winds from the west don't blow all the smoke right back into the coastal cities.

I had my first visit to the naughty corner yesterday, and I was quite impressed with the decorations in there. Sofas, reclining chairs, a 57" flat screen TV, a fully stocked wet bar and lots of ghosts of people past. Even though Rosemary 'allowed' me to leave, I stayed on for several hours. I recommend you all 'get down and dirty' so you can visit too!

Something mellow today for everyone to sit down and relax to while listening. The great Kenny G performing "Song Bird." Enjoy all!

CG - I think I shall be the next person to use the Naughty Corner. I used a word in my poem yesterday that is offensive to Australians. (I had no idea!) I am very sorry about it! I sincerely hope I have not offended anyone. I won't make that mistake again!

ROASTED WORK BOOT

1. Preheat oven to 350º F
2. Remove boot from RIGHT foot (unless you're lefthanded)
3. Remove the boot laces.
4. Remove tongue and sole and freeze for another meal.
5. Clean boot (sugar soap works well).
6. Soften boot with meat tenderizer or athlete's More...

Hmm - don't think I fancy Roasted Work Boot.

Bubbles. Thanks Jane & RayRay for the fun. It's raining again today so all our water tanks are full (3 little ones totalling 2500 Litres). The early season bushfires we had at the beginning of the month in Ku-ring-gai National Pk & at Port Stephens were also started by arsonists! What a terrible way to get your kicks!

Was going to post another, just so I could go to the naughty corner, but instead I'll go and get ready for work!

The other thing I have to do is ring Mum for her 75th birthday today.

Roasted BSA motorbike chain sounds easier, Jane:
1 chain in roasting pan full of grease into a warm oven & leave as long as possible (ie till the wife finds out!). The best time is just after she's leave for an evening shift at the hospital & he's got no uni lectures. Boy, did I get cross! Hasn't happened again! You couldn't eat it because of all the metal!!!!

The smoke and ash are bad here...I'm near the Malibu area...had friends from the church that is now gone. My husband drives by the Pepperdine univ on his way home from work. It's very sad! At least it is starting to clear a bit.
