Plum you have no idea how hard it was not tell you that you had guessed Morgan's middle name when I saw your post on the guessing game.

Karen, that's funny. I'll bet it WAS hard for you. lol Well, I got her middle name, sorta close to her first name, her gender and the fact that she was going to be a wee thing, but I was hoping too early for you. Well, she was worth waiting for! When's the next one coming? *ducking now*

Ick, Ugh ... cringe. I love the nature shots, except for those starring Arachnids.

Karen, can't wait to see the pictures whenever they get posted. You must be one tough Texas woman. IF I was even home from the hospital so soon after a C-section, surely I would still be in bed.

Hope you are coping alright with everything Karen. ♥

I spent 3 days in bed. I learned I am not a laying in bed type of person. Darn it. I am not moving Eri, unless I have to.
Jill is the woman, she spent 2 weeks in the hospital and came out running.

I skimmed through the Guessing game and this is what I came up with. People do not like me, they wanted me to go to July--Ouch. There were lots of dates around the 23rd but none on the 23rd. Also, the plan it seemed was to give me a big baby, which considering the ailments associated with gestational diabetic babies, I should have had a huge baby, but I have a little one and she is short.

Morning all - Karen...great to see you posting.
Congrats on your "wee" one and hope to see some of those pictures soon, too.
Love the puzzles picture - very cool!

On a happy note, Heidi, Kathy, Julie, André, Eve, Plum, Jane, Victoria, Shiela, Maureen, and LynnDee all guessed a girl. There were some guesses on the easy pages and I made a note of them but where that note is, I have no idea. And Plum, bless her guessed the girl's middle name, even though that was not a category. I think.

Now, I am off to save Girl 2 from Girl 1, who believes they should share the same bed.

Now to save the children.

Thanks for the tip on the puzzle pics, Vici. That sunset picture brings an immediate sense of serenity -- lovely!!

Well, Karen's barely moving and she still whizzed by everyone for 22. On her way to rescue children, no less. Nice work, SuperMom!
27/Jun/09 12:40 AM
 |  |

Wooooo! Karen, you are a supermom! I could barely keep up with one baby (although he was 2 oz short of 10 pounds and 21 inches) I spent 3 weeks at my mother's before I felt brave enough to face my hubby and older son.
27/Jun/09 12:50 AM

SuperMom, indeed! Karen, you are an amazing woman. Now I'm whizzing off myself to do my usual summer triathlon: biking, swimming and kayaking! Bye for now!

Karen, the desire to share the bed with a new one can last a long time. At our house, we found our 10-year-old grandson curled up in a tiny portacrib with his new cousin. He had slipped in without waking the baby, and it was a very sweet scene. One of our dogs also sneaks upstairs to sleep next to the baby's crib. Protective instincts lingering from our origins? Jealousy?

all!
When my daughter was born I had a heck of a time trying to keep our cat out of her crib. I would find him curled up at one end all the time. He was never near her, just down at one end. I finally gave up and let him sleep there. I would More...

I had the cat worries with Girl 1, too. But my cat would sleep on the girls feet, which only seemed to bother Man and me.
Do not mind Girl 1 in bed with Girl 2, until Girl 2 protests too much about being moved around while she is trying to get her growing sleep going on.

After hearing Shosho's almost 10 pound story, I really should not complain about my 5 pounder. Matter of fact I should be able to move.

No, no Karen, take it easy, girl!!! You'll heal better that way.
Of course when my son was born there was some complication so he ended up in the neonatal intensive care unit. There he was placed in an incubator (of which he barely fit) surrounded by all the premies (who were about 2-3 pounds). He looked like a giant and of course his mother was the smallest visitor!

What interesting lives spiders lead.

Spiders are our friends. They save us from so many diseases transmitted by flies and mosquitos.
And their webs are works of art!

The dentist gave me a local anesthetic then removed my upper right wisdom tooth with what looked like a pair of pliers. He put a lump of cotton in the hole, said bite on that for an hour. Come back Monday if you still have pain!
Please excuse me while I go lay on the sofa for a while.

Just noticed Heidi's post Spiders like mosquitoes so do their webs.

GannieMo.... don't you wish you could put the dentist through the same thing?
