Sweta, I couldn't believe it when I heard yesterday morning that the wrong body had been flown back here to Australia. I was in shock and I don't even know the soldier. I, too, felt for his wife and his parents. How could this have happened?

There is some concern about how he died also. More...

I haven't heard the full story about a serviceman's family receiving the wrong body, but I was wondering why you said that the government was being insensitive? I jumped to the conclusion that someone had made a very tragic ERROR, not that the government had deliberately caused pain.

And before everyone jumps on the bashing bandwagon, I too am appalled that this happened and feel terrible for the family. I can't even begin to imagine how much worse their grief is. But it is an interesting comment on our society that there are no more mistakes, just insensitivity and cruelness.
