Nurn, Ignore them, your opinion means a lot, always offer it.

Glenn, I agree with you. I love snow, but after living in Florida for the last 9 years, I can't take the cold that goes along with it. We finally got some needed rain today, I wish it wash away of the lovebugs.

This story reminded me of the way I feel every time I get stumped and have to call tech support.

The Computer Fixer

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Harold the computer guy, to come over. Harold clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. He gave me a bill More...

That a good one, Keith! I know that feeling! beehive has helped me through some of those ID ten T errors on Skype, but he has been so kind & patient.
Judy/SD, no, you don't need to be scared of him!
And beehive, yes, I did forget about the professional stirrers. Also, I forgot the church More...

Hello, everyone.

Isn't it Chrissy's birthday today? If so, Happy Birthday, Chrissy!

To Keith/logging decades: My next thought was a total downer> 'Math in 2050...' I hope there are still forests to support logging...Neverthe less I appreciated the joke as I was a math teacher in the late 60's. The 'New Math' right next to Cape Kennedy with all the engineer parents coming and saying 'Hey What is this about!' Anyway sorry to be a wet blanket!

Fiona from France - we got lots of yard work done today & have had dinner so now there's time to tell you about our trip. We will be on a 15 day Globus tour from Jun. 5-20, starting from Frankfurt & going to Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, & Rothenburg. After the bus tour we'll More...

Hi Carol! Another former teacher revealed! You told about your husband catching a 180 lb. marlin(?) & that sounded huge to me, but did you read about the guy who caught the 1280 pound hammerhead shark down at Boca Grande?!!! The picture made the front page of the St. Pete Times sports section. Amazing!
 |  |
What do you bet that Judy, Nal, & Ed are all watching the Detroit-Miami basketball game right now (8:29 PM)? I expect we'll see some comments from them later! I'm neutral on that competition. May the best men win!!
 |  |
To Kathy, It was a tarpon. I read about the shark but not if it was allowed to live. Or was he sacrificed (?sp) for a record. BTW where is Valrico? I was a very poor teacher (ability as well as on a Florida salary!) I am now an audiologist - much better at that!

Kathy and Judy, and others who know, went to the local bookshop yesterday to get a copy of 'Outlander' and was told the first book in the series is called 'Cross Stitch'. Is this correct? I thought I was looking for a book actually called 'Outlander'

Good Maen all - glorious sunny Sunday morning here!!

!!!!!!!! GO YOU MIGHTY WEST COAST EAGLES !!!!!!
 |  |
Gee, don't we yanks go on - and being yanks and teachers, we are unable to shut up, cos we know everything, so you'd better listen up !!!!

If you know what's god for you.

Here's another tick for your 'teacher' column! I like this site best because, aside from the Sudoku that help keeps my brain from stagnating, it is the only one I can find that allows me to 'click' in my answers instead of type them in.

I also enjoy reading...haven't tried the Outlander More...
 |  |
OMG Keith...loved the math story. So true!

BLUEY: Went to the Official Diana Gabaldon Website:

Outlander Series
(in print)

Outlander
(also titled Cross Stitch)

Dragonfly in Amber

Voyager

Drums of Autumn

The Fiery Cross

A Breath of Snow and Ashes

(The alternate title is a surprise to me! Must be an 'overseas' name!)

I am getting better! 2:23

God Bless all

4:47 not my best time, but good to play after 3 days in hospital getting rid of a kidney stone! I do not recommend this to anyone.
The winter scene is nice; we see that in Calgary often. It is always prettier when you are inside looking out.
As for occupation, I am an office administrator and bookkeeper and love the puzzles. I even enjoy all the chatter from all of you!
 |  |
Carol & Susan, now we can add a few more non-teacher professions to the list! C'mon I know there are more - let's hear from some others.
Whistler's mom - would you tell us your occupation (if there's something else in addition to being a mom)? We yanks don't know everything, but we like to learn!
 |  |
Susan/Calgary: Feel Better!!!! Thanks for the advice :o)

I agree with you...looking out is much nicer most of the time. Sometimes it is nice to go out for a ski or a snowshoe though...don't you think? I like real cold, I can dress for real cold. Unlike dampness that just seeps through my bones and makes me grumpy. Is it real cold or damp cold in Calgary?

Jude, not typo - JOKE

Lisa from Northern Ontario - you must be in great shape with all those physical activities! Good for you. And then you must read while you are resting! What are some of your favorite books or authors? What is your occupation?

Kathy et al: I came to sudoku out of curiosity why my friends waxed euphoric over it, found this site, and became hooked myself. Occupation: copy editor. Passion: horseback riding -- took it up last year when I turned 60. Absolutely LOVE it. Anybody else out there in sudokuland ride? -- would love More...

Judy, thank you Just shows how computer savvy I am not, as I never thought of looking it up on here
Susan, I too, am what could be described as a bookkeeper and an avid reader and puzzler. Used to also enjoy gardening until my daughter brought home More...
 |  |
Kathy/Valrico: I am a teacher. I wouldn't say 'great shape', but working on it. I will read anything, but I whip through authors like Jeffery Deaver, Michael Connelly, John Grisham, Kathy Reichs, Iris Johansen, Ridley Pearson, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson...I think you get the idea. :o)
