Is there such a thing as a standard oddball? I thought we were (are) all oddballs.

Post 'em Lynda!

By my way of thinking, if you post them under the joke category and someone doesn't like them, then THEY can untick the jokes comments.

Martha - yes but they have the best seafood smorgasbord! Mouth-watering!

What an exciting day! I have got to find myself a wienie stick and an appropriate shield for the next fray! I figure since Kathy said I could be the referee so I better find a hockey helmet as well!

CG you drew me into your page on false premises! Joe and his pointy stick hooked me in. Then to find out you meant Joe Cø¢ker, argh!

Ooooh, Martha, where do I get one of those?!?
Of course I could threaten to play the bagpipes Think that would be more effective in a referee's job. Better than a whistle! The players would quickly behave just to get me to stop playing!

Can you play the bagpipes? How interesting. Do you practice at home? How do the neighbours react?
29/Feb/08 1:53 PM

Martha, I can't play so the neighbors pay me to not practice! Quite a lucrative business! I tell dangerous criminals that I'm armed with a bagpipe and I'm not afraid to play it!

It seems that some people don't want to maintain their own page. In that case might it be possible to programme an option within the 'Update Details' to allow those members not to have a page if they so wish?

We owned a chanter a long time ago (the bit used to learn to play the bagpipes?). It made the most horrendous wailing noise... somehow it was broken...

Whole load of biggish quakes (M4 to M7) in/off the islands near the Sumatran coast last two or three days. Very close to Padang.

Having weathered through a few earthquakes, all I can say the experiences have left me shaken up emotionally!

The last big quake happened in (I think) about '92. We spent 3 weeks waiting for the school district to assess the school buildings throughout the district to assure the public that they were safe for children to enter. I had made a model of the Caenavon Castle. It stands 6 inches tall and is about 2 and a half feet in length and about a foot and a half feet in width.

I still have the model castle. Couldn't throw it out after all the time I spent on it. But sadly it gathers dust in the closet.

Rayray think you missed Judy's comment on page 3 "I asked Gath if he could make the personal page an option, and he responded that he doesn't have the time to create the software"

I have missed all the kafoofle that apparently went on three days ago...
but I am looking forward to the Brisbane gathering tomorrow, not only to meet fellow sudokuists, but to catch up on what's been happening here.

Shosho: The Mentawai Islands are very quake-stressed right now. Recently between those islands and the Sumatran mainland there were no less than 40x quakes greater than M5 in one 24 hour period. In nearby Padang that seemed like a wartime bombardment.

Rayray, ouch! I've gone through two quakes with 6.1 and 6.4(?) on the Richter scale and know what the effects are. Both happened in the early morning luckily before people reported for work. The first 5:59 AM ( I know because my alarm was set for 6AM and I remember looking at the clock thinking More...

I still see cracks on the ceilings both at school and at home. Very thin and almost unnoticeable, but I know they're there. The littler quakes that followed and we still have occasionally, have somewhat numbed my panic but I still have the earthquake kits (25 gallons of water, small solar oven, More...

CATHOLIC GASOLINE

Joke for today:

A pastor concluded that his church was getting into very serious financial troubles. While checking the church storeroom, he discovered several cartons of new bibles that had never been opened and distributed.

So at his Sunday sermon, he asked for three volunteers More...
