Just saw a news article saying that in New York, this is Good Riddance Day where people are encourage to put papers, photos etc of bad, hurtful things/events from 2009 in shredders in Times Square. If it doesn't go in a shredder, they are providing sledgehammers and a waste skip/dumpster.

What I would like to put into a shredder/dumpster: All photos taken of me since about 1999; every unsavory word uttered; every malicious or hurtful thought; all my excess fat; every last bit of holiday candy still lurking about the house. (I'm sure there's more fodder for the shredder, but this is my starter list!)

Thanks for the card Greg, we are going to try for the third time to get to the movies to see Avatar today, yesterday was a wipe out because we couldn't get a park anywhere so we are trying in the opposite direction at Raymond Terrace.

I also have a tale of the missing cat. Scrap had been gone for a week and for all intents and purposes, we assumed him gone. Sure enough, he turned up in a pretty sad state, but happy to see us nonetheless. We got him patched up (and 'fixed' at the same time!) and he was a home body from that time More...

Wishing all of you a happy and Healthy 2010. We've had a lot of rain in Brisbane so it was a good time to see movies. I recommend Avatar, what a fabulous movie, we saw it in 3D. It has a good story, thought provoking messages as well as amazing beauty on a very realistic looking planet.

The Blue Moon is covered up as it is snowing and overcast where I lay my head - not bad - but I am ready to go to bed until spring - hoping for a clear night tomorrow for my New Year's Eve - I just love a full moon -- Best Wishes to you all - Mary

We will not be having a 'Blue Moon' in Australia till 30 January but then we will have another 30 March. Two in one year!
Our full moon is not till 5.13am (Sydney time ) on New Years day.
