Congrats to Chula Vista, Calif. on winning the Little League World Series. They beat (no,trounced) the kids from my hometown of San Antonio,Tx. yesterday and won over Chinese Taipei today for the championship. Lots of really good games in the series. Enjoyed watching the kids play.

Lynne's doing quite well, Broni. We head out on another 1 week adventure in two days, to take 4 different tourist train trips in Colorado. Should be great fun.

Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes. My daughter and I have been in Scotland for 13 days and it has rained every day but one!!! Ah Scottish summer as I remember it. Hope everyone on the site is well I haven't been on since coming here - will perhaps treat myself to a sudoku fix for my birthday

Goodness! Bean has regressed to times before the dark ages. I am no good at Latin so I need to guess what she is saying. The clues are there in the Alice in Wonderful puzzle - but they are not obviously 'tagged' and there are red-herrings. You have to find the clues to solutions - as in life itself. It is not really hard. You have see behind the story.

Where does the saying 'On your wavelength' come from? Just a thought as I idle through this Bank holiday...
