Yes, but Keith, you had to become engaged in what those guys were doing. Thinking actually had to take place to appreciate the humor and that is just too much to expect.

The first show that I was ever a fan of was The Roy Rogers Show. I was born horse crazy .... still am.... and loved to sing along with Roy and Dale. Happy trails to you... until we meet again... More...

Good morning, everyone! I’ve missed you all and hope to be posting more often. I’ve had some health issues (nothing major, and I won’t bore you with the details), but it seems my tennis and biking have not been enough exercise, so I’ve pretty much taken up residence at the local health club! Heidi - I remember as a little girl reading about Roy and Dale adopting children. I SOOOOOOO wanted them to adopt me! (Mind you, I loved my family dearly, but we didn't live on a ranch and have horses!!!)

Finally have some time to do the puzzles today. Workmen are driving me crazy and I really don't have too far to go. The tile that was ordered was not the correct tile, so back it went. Had to go pick out new tile, not fun.

Good Morning everyone. It looks like a busy place this morning. You have beautiful ears, Lola!

We had breakfast with the retirees this morning. It is always nice to see long time friends! (Did you notice I DIDN'T say "old?")

Happy Wednesday!
One of my earliest (time of day and my age) TV shows was Captain Kangaroo.
My family enjoyed Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Star Trek (gotta love Captain Kirk!), Mission Impossible, Ben Casey, Sing Along With Mitch, Ed Sullivan. My personal favorites were Wild Wild West More...

An oldie....

I was at the mall the other day eating at the food court. I noticed an old man watching a teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue.
The old man kept staring at him. The teenager would look and find the More...

Lola - You remind me of Heidie (except when I had her she was older). Either she was the dumbest dog I ever had or most conniving - which takes intelligence.

Saw the Bold Fresh Tour last night. Today is another overcast day with chance of showers in the 40-50's.

I was going to say that the site was really busy this morning. Nearly 2 1/2 pages in less than 6 hours.

I guess my post scared everyone away!

HI all! Lots of clever people did the Geronimo jump for last night's riddle, including Sue, Shosho, CynB, Heidi, Debby, Keith, lonewoof, Plum, Bluey, and CG - of course, the only one missing was the hula hula girl but she's probably knocked out half of Hawaii by now with those shells and may well be behind bars at this very moment!

Had one of those sh%@ days today; having just nursed two kids with synchronised gastro probs, young one does a 360° spin on his toe...the toe stayed in the same place, the body did the spin - toe's not broken but blue as the deep sea and very painful. Sigh, sigh, sigh. A holiday is needed, methinks.

Mentally did the puzzle yesterday, Fiona, and got the correct answer.

Don't think Kathy will be behind bars - more likely in them!

Have worked out 4 answers for the above, brain still waking up so haven't got the other one yet!

I shouldn't complain, at least my fridge works, doesn't wheeze or rattle, still has good suction on the seals, gurgles contentedly when it has finished making cold air and defrosts when I frown at it. Can't really ask for more, can you?

Hi everyone, Star Trek was a favorite of mine also but not to the point that my hubby and youngest sister are obsessed with, they will sit and watch it all day long our DVD collection is mostly yeah you guessed it Star Trek.

The sailboat program I was thinking about was part nature, part adventure, and part "busting the bad guys". It was a family of 4 living aboard a "Westsail 41" in the Hawaiian Islands. They sailed around the islands, went SCUBA diving and saw neat stuff, then went ashore and saw More...

I worked at a TV station in the late '60s; and was COMPELLED to watch "The Jetsons" (probably the most irritating cartoon show ever aired) and we also ran re-runs of Gilligan's Island (but I could stand it, thanks to Mary Ann!)

"The Flintstones" is a very close runner-up to "Jetsons" in the "most irritating" category...

We have a "new" free-to-air channel in Australia called Go - channel 99. It plays a lot of the older cartoons - The Jetsons, The Flintstones plus I dream of Jeannie, Bewitched etc.
My #2 son comes home from work and while cooking his afternoon teas, sits down to watch all these old programs. I suppose for him they are all new.

I hated Star Trek and Dr Who. I remember having nightmares from Lost in Space - that giant cyclops inhabited my dreams for years!
I now like Dr Who - especially with David Tennant as the Doctor.

Jerry, I get your point about if there was nothing good on TV, you turned it off and read a book...NOW! Back then, I was a kid who wasn't into books.

Interesting responses to my query, thanks for the replies.
I see there are some in one camp and some in the other about most shows.
re Star Trek, I got 'into' it because I have a geeky sci-fi hubby and he is into most of those types of shows. I think he was first in the line for the Star Wars More...

See, there's another I couldn't stand, F Troop!

I love Dr Who, I'm a John Pertwee fan, but I did like Tom Baker and David Tennant is yummy!
We are also enjoying the sort of spin-off, Torchwood.

When I was little Star Trek was something my brothers and I could agree on. I usually lost out on the TV program selection. So the books and I were very good friends, Then there was the family together watching Ed Sullivan Show. I was very interested when the Beatles came and Topo Gigio giggled away!!!
