Thanks Suzy - I thought it was more recent than 68/69 - it was done in Joh Bjelke's day as premier.

Thanks. That link is a very good source of information. I think the event was January 1969 where there is an entry for very heavy raiunfall for Mossman. I think it was more extensive and more rain that that record indicates, even though the total recorded fall is very high.

For those of you enjoying your Cadbury eggs spare a thought for us in France all they sell here are those revolting Kinder type things. Except of course at Easter when you can buy wonderful hollow eggs from the Chocolatier filled with cream filled chocs of your choise. There is nothing quite like breaking into the shell of a chocolate Easter Egg.
