After lunch, we did the Sam's Club shopping. It is amazing how little food was actually purchased and yet the cashier told us the horrible amount.
That is OK, because when we returned home, Man and Thing I packed a back and headed off to Grandma's and left me with a huge box of ice cream sandwiches.

Friday's doctors visit finally showed blood sugar level has crept up over 7 after hovering in the 6's for years. This now means that I officially have diabetes. Don't feel any different but probably have to adjust lifestyle slightly. Do some walking and lose some weight.Nothing that I shouldn't have doing for years.

What it really means is that I'll have to cut down on between meals snacks and have that CC with soda water rather than dry.

I think you all know my propensity for a wager and the fact that my cable is almost permanently switched to sky racing. I noticed yesterday a greyhound racing by the name of Noble Sudoku. Unfortunately, I didn't risk any money and it won very easily and paid $6 for $1.

Just let one of the cats in and he has curled up next to me on the lounge. He is telling me to turn the heat pump on. Both cats have trained us to turn it on by firstly looking at the unit on the wall and then looking at us. They do this until someone turns the heater on. Then they curl up for the day.
