Hi all - not at work, home sick (not dying - I am female!).
First car I bought was a Holden Torana. Sold that after i got married and had a baby, and we used my hubby's MGB as our car (with two baby seats fitted in the back!). Even drove from Brisbane to Melbourne and back in it for a three week trip with hubby's uniforms hanging from the soft top struts.

...which is spelt Reagan.

Kathy from Valrico: Thank you for the wonderful time today. I enjoyed our lunch and all the conversation. You forgot we both have food pushers, in common. I will send you the picture when I get home.

Hey Billy
I remember when I worked in the Bank, it used to be freezing in there while outside boiling hot.
Good way to get a summer cold !!
 |  |

Rosemary, I had some trouble until I read your directions to Kathy and saw the step that I was missing. Gath is checking it out now...if all goes well it should be here tomorrow. Thank you. I also have plenty on reserve if that one doesn't make it or if we can change from time to time.
 |  |

Mama
that is good, hope it all works out this time as you have been very busy trying to get it organised.
It is not easy learning all this new pooter technology.

Whoo hooo!!! Baby is healthy and developing normally! It's a boy!
 |  |

Way to go Mama, what a fantratic avatar.

I got my first car 4 months before my 16th birthday. My Papa bought it from the bank after they'd repossessed it. A cute little, cherry red '91 Ford Festiva. We had an icestorm the week I got it, so I learned how to drive (a standard) on ice! (Some scary moments, indeed!) It used to get about 45 More...

oops that would be fantastic not fantratic

Welcome home Rose and Veronica.
CP, home you feel better soon.
My first car was a 54 Plymouth auto, and I loved it. Owned Plymouths until 1970, then went with a Chrysler....big mistake! I then got a great yellow Toyota, and Sully kept the Chryster until he got a red 1973 Madza Zoom car. We've had nothing but Madza's ever since! Love em.

I got so excited when I saw my avatar I forgot how to spell the name of the cars I've been driving forever It should read Mazda!
Thanks Rosemary...you are so right, but I'm getting there albeit slowly.

My first car was a small Chevy. My 2nd and 3rd cars were also small Chevys. My 4th and current car is a small Toyota.

A car says a lot of about its owner. Mine says I am not dumb enough to waste several months pay trying to buy a self-image.

Besides, way up here in frigid Boston, More...

My first car had stone wheels. Actually my current one does too!

just back from a short visit to the market..witnessed a strange scene..a guy driving fast to office suddenly pulled over to the side lane and nobody bothered to find why(naturally,as every one was in a hurry and with their own worries!)when some ppl saw the abnormal way he was sitting raised alarm More...

ap - if he died that quickly it is doubtful that even with a defibrillator right there that he'd have survived.

Beautiful child, Jeannea.

Mamacita 2/PA: It's been Mazdas for me since 1980. Now we have an RX7, a B3000 king cab, a Tribute, and a Millenia. We love the reliability.

Jeannea
Jordyn is a real cutie
AP
that is really scary, I hope he didnt suffer too much. sounds like it was all pretty fast.
 |  |
looks like Rose, for i havent got any clue regarding the nature of the end..just saw it from a distance..and it has really upset me so much...it was hard getting the doors open i believe and every minute delayed was pushing him near the death fast...heard he had a pulse when they actually opened the door but soon it got arrested...sad
 |  |

Chalkboard, Hubby's first was RX2, and we went right up the line. The current one is a Millenia. I couldn't agree with you more about their reliability, and they look good too. I had wanted a Lexus when they first came out, but dollar for dollar and looks too, I felt the Mazda was by far the better car for me. Sully was very happy with my choice too.

AP
not a very nice thing to witness, hope you are okay.

A man is standing in front of the judge after trying to get out of his speeding ticket. The judge finds him guilty, fines him $50 and hands him a receipt.
The motorist, a bit upset by now, sarcastically asks 'What am I supposed to do with this, frame it?'
'No,' replied the judge. 'Keep it. Two more and you can get a bicycle.'

According to a report from the RAC Foundation, what you say on your car may speak volumes about you, your allegiances and the type of car you are most likely to own.
'The car sticker is a badge of belonging,' said Edmund King, executive director of the RAC Foundation. 'It clearly distinguishes More...

1. Happy Family Tribe. Sticker will say: 'Baby/Small person on Board'. Chosen by drivers who may be insecure in other arenas of their life but are reassured of their self worth by announcing their fertility to the world. They hope that other motorists will drive more deferentially in their presence More...

6. The Martyred Parents Tribe. Sticker reads: 'Mum's Taxi' or 'Dad's Chauffeur Service' These parents enjoy making their children feel guilty about being driven around but secretly love every minute because it makes them feel wanted. The 'taxi' is likely to be a Kia Sedona.

maeN all, My first car was a buick, previously driven by a young lady with cerebral palsy and minimal use of her arms. I liked to have someone new in my car and then let go of the steering wheel and watch their reaction when the steering wheel still kept moving. It also had a steering foot-plate More...

ap, I now drive with my hands at 8&4 since my daughter came home from drivers ed class saying that with front air bags that is the safest.

Dave, my first car was an '81 Mazda 626. I bought it new just after I finished uni as I had a job away from home - small town, no other transport. I had to borrow every cent, but I really treasured that car. I was one of the first people in our town to have air con. Every now and again I see an More...

My first car was a '71 Ford Escort, 2 door. It had a bent McPherson strut, the steering shuddered at 70km/h but by the time you got it 80km/h the shuddering was so frequent you didn't notice it any more.
