Apparently, nobody was trying. I tried to enter the Chatroom for the first time, and... my password and I don't exist. That gives me a great feeling of security and self image.\Actually, it's probably a continuation from yesterday. I could only post a comment if I restarted my computer More...

A DAVE BARRY CLASSIC

I called my friend Andy Sable, a gastroenteritis, to make an appointment for a colonoscopy. A few days later, in his office, Andy showed me a color diagram of the colon, a lengthy organ that appears to go all over the place, at one point passing briefly through More...

PART II

At the clinic I had to sign many forms acknowledging that I understood and totally agreed with whatever the heck the forms said. Then they led me to a room full of other colonoscopy people, where I went inside a little curtained space and took off my clothes and put on one of those More...

Was going to pick up my knitting and do some today but I have lost a needle.
I cannot find it anywhere.

I want to get on with it.

Jane... I think I hurt myself..... LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF!!! THANKS.

Rayray ..... why do you keep your sheep in the house?? Those are unsanitary conditions for the sheep. They shouldn't be forced to live like that. SHAME!!!

I know of an old house in the middle of a fenced in field that sheep took over and lived in. It was eventually sold and people actually DO live in it today! I always wondered if the new owners knew the history & if the smell still lingered...

Jane - that was very funny, particularly for one who used to be a colonoscopy procedure room nurse. But I think Andy had to be a gastroenterologist - because gastroenteritis is a nasty gut infection!!

I like this photo very much.... It gives a different view of the '' Hang On'' slogan ..... I can imagine converstion between tree and leaf ''Our life is just a rollercoaster, hold on tight because falling off is not an option'' ... leaf said: ''but hello...I am made to fall!''

I remember a story about a patient dying of (?) cancer in a hospital room which had a view of a treee which was losing its leaves. There was something about him hanging on until the last leaf fell. The ending was that someone had painted a leaf on the window so that it looked like it was still on More...

When I worked nights they (the powers that be) thought they would change the system and work 3on, 4 off, 4on, 3off, these being 12 hour nights. We never knew where we were. My opposite number and I decided to work 7 on and 7 off and found that this worked far better for us as you at least got a few More...

They (the powers in place) would like to implant that system... many youngers would like that.. less travelling they say.... I used to work 8 hrs,10 on/4 off. I agree put them all together... but I cannot see the benefit of working 12 hrs... you just don't have time to recuperate in between... no More...

Ah yes! shiftwork...I remember that. Unfortunately those, (powers that be and others)have no idea the effect that shiftwork has on those who do it. I, and most of my colleagues, always preferred to do several night shifts in a row but our bosses said no, this is bad for you you must limit it to three or four days (nights)at a time.

Study these and you can insult somebody and be classy about it! They probably won't even know you've done it.

Sheila:
