Off to work on my SBS this morning. Haven't seen Jane in awhile, maybe she's biking to Florida. Have fun with Fiona, shosho.
Linds - you go to Kathy's page and send her a private message...don't think I'll be doing that today as I have no clue on the riddle

Maybe in a former life, Gail ... we're a bit chubby for that pair, but I would have posed with it.

I wonder how shosho knew I slept in ... maybe she was the one that stole my coffee.

Good afternoon to all! That looks more like an artists' picture than a statue. Very nice. I'm not sure if Lynne and Keith could fit in behind those two or not!

Happy Sunday to all on this side of the world.
Just enjoyed a fried chicken dinner with MIL,hubby, and a vibrant young lady (read younger than us). Enjoyed the food, the fact that I didn't have to fry the chicken, and especially the visit. Now home and planning on a long Sunday afternoon nap.

Daplap, I like that definition. Will be sharing it.

Just dropped in for a quick puzzle before getting back to the hundreds of e-mails that accumulated in the 11 days I was out of computer range!!

Hazel - the chicken REALLY sounded good - you don't get much "good" fried chicken these days - particularly with the emphasis away from fried anything!

Speaking of fried chicken....

A waiter approached the man studying the menu carefully at the fancy restaurant. "May I take your order, sir?" he asked.

"Well, I was wondering how you prepare your chickens." The man replied.

"Oh, it's nothing too More...

This morning I woke to the melodious sounds of early spring. ie a pair of King Parrots feasting on the Grevillea bush outside my window. Earplugs please!!!

Well just got back from the Queen Mary where Fiona and her family and I had a great time. She and Eric probably think I'm as bad as the kids. We had a marvelous time, climbing, trying to spook each other out in the Legends and Ghost tour. Had both the kids trying to style my hair, ending up looking ridiculous!

Yes Greg I passed a hug to Fiona from you! And included kisses to both cheeks. You got Fiona and Eric!

The children and I were rowdy! And I taught them to eat pizza with their hands. Took a while getting Eric to give up his fork and knife. It did help that both were of flimsy plastic! As soon as I download the pics you'll see!

Jamie, good to see you back.
True, we are mostly successful in avoiding fried foods, but now and again the Creole Fried Chicken at the local Jr. Mart is too good to pass up. Some of the best fried chicken around. We have enjoyed it today along with home made potato salad and Bush's beans. Also, been enjoying fried okra quite a bit this summer. After all, this is The South.

Hazel, the menu sounds great to me. Haven't had great fried chicken in a long time. The rest of the menu sounds like what we were going to have tonight but will have to wait until tomorrow. Will replace the chicken with steak.

Tyler goes home tomorrow, his Mom is finally not working for a few days. His Dad is home from the hospital learning how to do things with a full leg cast.

Took MIL out to lunch and then drove around the northern suburbs of the Harbour. A lovely sunny day, the water sparkled and it was lovely and warm in the car.

I hate mobile phone companies (mine in particular). I have been trying to sort out a problem with mine since early July. I ordered a new phone and they sent the wrong one. One month later it is still an ongoing issue and I still have not got a phone I want but do have one I don't want.

I hear you Vicki. There is nothing more frustrating than this, not to mention time consuming. It is a case of perservere and perservere some more until they listen.

Well, I heard back but nothing has been resolved. I've threatened to remove all my phones and internet from this company unless they sort it out tomorrow. I will because I am really not happy.
I wouldn't think it would be too hard to return a phone and have my contract cancelled with no penalty More...

Vicki, I hope your phone problems get sorted tomorrow. Start ringing some talk back radio stations. Bad publicity sometimes brings results.
