maen all! is this the dreaded malaluca(paper tree) that is the scourge of the everglades? i,ve cut down countless amounts of them and never noticed them flowering. they were imported for their ability to soak up unwanted water but they went wild and took over vast tracts of natural swamp throughout florida and the south.

It's supposed to be excellent firewood when it dries out enough. Also, I used to go to a school where it served as a windbreak at the edge of the oval.
