There is no use timing yourself in order to report that time to others; either they won't believe it or they will laugh about your slowness... Just time it for yourself... There are too many cheating possibilities and there is no one checking your puzzling...alas...

Alternatively, you could just not bother timing it at all. But, of course, then you would be forsaking all the wonderous joy of competitive sudoku. Sarcasm doesn't always translate well to the written word, does it?

Of course there is wondrous joy in any competition, be it sudoku or anything else. But there is no 'real' competition going on here., don't you agree?
