I think I went over this bridge, if not, a similar one. Is this a photo of yours, Rosemary?

Watch out for trains, who has the right of way?
 |  |
4:46 Maen Interesting idea... sharing the bridge with a train. I bet I know who has right of way... :)
 |  |
Good Maen all. Isn't it amazing how unusual solutions can be found to deal with unusual problems? The engineer who came up with this one was certainly 'thinking outside the box'.
 |  |
eeeeek. i agree, guess who has the right of way; but what do ya do?
 |  |
maybe use another road or try boat!
 |  |
4:34 Maen...it's nice to share o0

Hi everyone
I can accept it is one way bridge but how can I accept that it is onlly one car crossing which is Yous
Nice maEn to all
 |  |
mAen! 7:10. Hopefully you won't run out of gas!
 |  |
I don't see a train coming - go for it! Nice hard puzzle today!
 |  |

Talk about playing chicken!
 |  |
7:13, not sure I will cross that bridge when I come to it
 |  |
08:31 Scary!
 |  |

11:55 Hi to all. Oh oh oh, do you take the chance??
 |  |
I think I'd let the train go first ...
 |  |
Maen all - make sure you know how to back up in a hurry. I think I can, I think I can.
 |  |

Good afternoon yo all! I think I'd defer to the train. Now if I was younger and more daring, I'd try to force the train off the tracks!

Oh, wooden bridge? for train? is it safety?

9:50 - that was unusually easy.
 |  |
Scary pic. Fast puzzle.
 |  |
9:59; what an amazing sight! Thanks for sharing.
 |  |
Scary proposition. Not the sort of place where you would try to beat the light controlling access.
 |  |

I would guess (HOPE!) there is not much traffic on this bridge.
 |  |

5.38
yeah, well done anne
was a bit unusual when we came across the bridge and it isnt controlled by lights, just a give way area and stop sign from one end. lots of these birdges for just traffic but the one with the train line up the middle was a bit disconcerting.
 |  |
Lots of bridges like this in NZ but its the first I ever saw with a train-line. Guess they don't need two lanes as there is not that much traffic. Has anyone ever seen the one-laner at Kopu (outside of Thames Nth Island?) It's really LONG - thankfully now has lights.
 |  |
Interesting bridge! If I went over it, it was in a coach (and I remember being near there) ... I think I am glad about that!
 |  |
very interesting
 |  |
Which piece of fire equipment can't go the wrong way on a one way street?
 |  |
What a nightmare of a bridge! Kate, when you say you went over it in a coach, do you mean by train?
 |  |

Ok you guys and gals.. I just submitted 4 more elephant pics in that Hwange series. We have no idea when they may show up or in what sequence but that's part of the fun of this site, isn't it? If you want, I can add some more from the Great Zimbabwe series too. Please reply on my page.. I'll have a better chance of catching them.
Thanks

Great to see a kiwi pic on here!!
Karen, the kopu bridge is fine, been over it heaps! at least it has passing bays! I'd love to see it open up one day too since its a drawbridge :o)
 |  |
Rosemary can you see if a train is approaching or do you depend on them blowing their hooter?
 |  |
the timer got stuck at 2.18 which is wrong
 |  |
What if the car stalls?
 |  |
I imagine there is a warning gate that goes down when the train is approaching so that all the cars wait.
 |  |

Could be a good old slide down the track on a wet day
