We've just had two rainbow lorrikeets join us for breakfast on the balcony today!

They look rather like a type of parakeet but they are nectar eaters. Seeds would grind away the little hairs on their tongues that they need to extract nectar from flowers.

That was a tricky one. Had to reset the possibilities!
Are these the ones that when they fly off, they look almost luminescent?

Sheila, parakeet is a loose term given to a lot of different smaller parrot related birds. The Australian budgerigar is sometimes referred to as a parakeet. There are lots of different lorikeets and rosellas are another Australian parrot like bird with lots of different colours.
