Simple nice sudoku today.

Obviously, another one of mine. We found out the Lake Almanor area is not really very good for hiking. It has been logged extensively and there are many logging roads and stumps. Some areas almost look like they have been clear-cut. We mainly went to water-ski on the lake, but thought we'd More...

What is the race of the dog? It's remind my own dog, GROENANDAEL = Belgian sheepdog...
 |  |
ap: He is a flat-coated retriever. You can look up the breed on the internet. Belgian sheepdogs do look a bit similar because they are both long-snouted and black, but the ears are different, and, of course, retrievers don't have that need to herd. Instead, they bring you things when they More...

Good afternoon to all! Nice picture.

Just once I'd like a quick solver to post the logical steps for the solution. it takes over a minute to fill the puzzle with numbers if you only care about 1-9 in each block (not row or column) I don't see how it take 2 minuts to do it right.
 |  |
I agree with you, CS. YOu can improve your speed by clicking 'automatically remove possibilities' and 'grey out used numbers.' You can alos cut time by minimizing the number times you switch between numbers. Beyond that, I just don't know.

GannieMo, Your flickr pictures are breathtaking! We are so fortunate to have folks like you, Martha, Ian, Nal and others who are so good and so happy to share their work and their travels with us. Thanks.
 |  |
Martha, Sorry, I thought I was on easy. I always enjoy your pictures and meant to address you first. There are so many travel shots of wonderful places to go that one almost feels guilty for seeing and being exposed to it for free. Notice please that I said almost, lol.

mAen all - 82 and overcast today - going to CA on Monday. Takes a while for me too but I enjoy the mind work. I will say that each time I play it gets easier. But I am not going to post my times till I am better.

12:33 Wasnt too hard but I'm way out of practice
 |  |
ITS HARD

8:48 - a really slow time today.

Jinx - 2 mins is easy if you make all guesses and take the correct one. Otherwise I, too, cannot see how it can be done (it takes longer to just put in the possiblities if it is done 'properly')
 |  |
I must say I also wonder how people can post such quick times, I couldn't even fill in random numbers in some of the times that are posted. Anyway I do them for the fun of it, not necessarily to beat or to improve on times

A beautiful picture Martha. Clever Dog
 |  |
Martha: thank you! I found the race 'flat-coated retriever' on Internet. Well, it is true -the ears are different. On that small picture I saw those 'devil's horns' - that the ears were UP... although they seems to be a little to big? That's why I ask.
Our dog was lovely, beautiful and very More...

Beautiful place! Are those giant sequoyas? (sp?)

To Jinx - when I first found this site I too was amazed at the fast times. Then I saw a comment saying '13 seconds, in the shower, with my eyes closed'. So I enjoy the puzzles and the comments, who cares about the times.

Looks like a nice restful place to visit.
