Two Taronga pictures of mine in a row! Yesterday the elephants, today the penguins!

Kicking off outside as Chelsea games starts. Like a war zone with police, helicopters and horses controlling the crowd. Very loud chants from the stadium. Rudgy is such a better game and crowd.

I gave up on this puzzle, it seemed to be a very hard medium tonight.

Good morning to all! Someone must have called a meeting to get them all together like that.

KB: here in NY it is now Sunday, 3/11, at 11:48 a.m. (DST).

Looks like it's too warm for the penguins -- they're enjoying the shade under that beautiful rock.

Temps in the high 40's (Fahrenheit) here, daylight savings time has begun, I see a few snowdrops (tiny white flowers) in a spot where the snow has melted. Spring is just around the corner.

I came in slow on this one, too. 9:44 but the penguins were worth the struggle.

Penguins are interesting, but the babies are even cuter! Here in San Diego, if you have a boat (we use our kayaks), you can row down a channel behind Sea World and approach the Penguin Rookery. You can paddle right up next to the confining fence and observe the fuzzy little penguins and their moms. What a joy!

maen all! a convent of nuns? as a child they were my favorites at central park zoo. now my youngest grand children feel the same way.
