Wonder if the cold wind is blowing there. If not it looks like the perfect place to escape. Looking for a perfect warm place to go with the sound of the ocean. not going to find it in Ohio.

Although I love doing the puzzles, I'm now addicted to the pictures and the comments! But I usually don't have time to get past page 1

Helen, I agree! I've been spending more time scanning the comments and enjoying the pictures than it takes to complete the puzzle, which I love to do. LOL

Helen and Sandra have it right -- the pictures and comments provide as much enjoyment as doing the puzzles.

This beautiful beach looks empty from a distance, but I think I discern faint spots, which could be people...or maybe it's my eyes..

sure beats the pic on the hard puzzle. or should i say 'whips' it?

Chris from Massachusetts: the faint spots on the beach are most likely cats, dogs, and blurry grandchildren!

My apologies everyone, I forgot to include a comment - I must have had a 'seniors moment'. Col, you should recognise that the beach is Anglesea, Victoria, looking back towards Melbourne. The photo was taken in early December and yes, the beach was virtually deserted. It is one of the truly lovely parts of the world.

Greg, come on down, you would be most welcome. But don't forget your 'cossie' 'cos there's no 'skinny dipping' at Anglesea. However, I do believe it is allowed on a beach just past the point on the horizon - if you want to walk that far!

mAen all - 75 and windy - our beach is very deserted as well - very flat here with no hills. No fishing today 20 knot wind. Just 10 min from the beach for me.

10:30- nice to have a medium that is a medium. Several this week were really 'hard,' following my personal definition that if you have to use possibilities, it's not a medium!

It's going to be a stinker here today - 34ºC at 9.00am, 37ºC at 10.00am, where to next? Let's hope no idiot goes around lighting fires today.

This looks very much like a photo I have, taken along a coastal road on The Coromandel in NZ. Regardless of where, it would be a pleasant change from the snow we are receiving right now.

Some of you are speedy sudokuists. Could only manage 10.57 but had an eye on the tennis too.

Another great photo Ian, just had a chat to my sister at Engadine she was saying how hot it was while we are enjoying a cool 24C makes a change doesn't it.Back to the cricket,cheerio .
