If you think about it, anyone can take a decent photo of an interesting subject, but it takes a real photographer to turn a dull, ordinary subject into a great photo. I am fortunate in that most of the subjects I have photographed have been interesting.

Heidi, you're absolutely right -- that drawbridge isn't short, it's just the right length!

Ian, a million people have seen that drawbridge & thought nothing of it. You seem to have the knack of bringing out the true beauty. Thank you for sharing.

I've seen this one on the jigsaws before - it makes a good jigsaw. Ian you do know lots of your pictures have been on the jigsaws don't you? They are often on the Hard!

Bluey, it is not far away on a canal where we had pancakes for Sunday lunch. My neice generously drove us around. It is a wonderfully photogenic country.

Kate, I keep an eye on the jigsaws as well and quite a lot of my photos have appeared there in recent times. There no longer seems to be the migration between Sudoku and Jigsaws that there has been in the past. I don't mind.
