Judy, at first I thought I was losing my marbles - I clicked on Hard & got the same puzzle as easy; thought, "this looks familiar somehow..." (sigh) Has this sort of error ever happened before?

I've seen 10 MPH curves - this is really slow.

oooooo! Hairpin Curve! We know a road like that in Virginia down the Mountain to "Lambsburg!" Who needs a rollercoaster when you have roads like this?

If they mean it, this is one serious twist. The only slower limit I've seen is the Crooked Street in San Francisco (5MPH IIRC)

I'd hazard a guess (having encountered a few of these here in Australia) that this particular hair-pin not only goes around but also very steeply up or down - in other words your normal sedan is going to scrape its base between the doors if its on the inside curve!

Kate I thought it might have been one of yours as Galston Gorge has some hair-pin curves that would qualify for that sign. (I used to drive those at some pretty scary speeds when I was late for work.)

Jyrki, the street in San Francisco you are referring to is Lombard Street. I remember going down it with my parents when I was 12. I went back to San Francisco in 1994 for my honeymoon and we made sure to go back to Lombard Street. It is one way, you can only go down it, not up it.

The hillside behind it does look pretty steep!
