Beautiful, Sue!
We once had a gorgeous hibiscus, but had to leave it when we moved. We finally planted one last year and I hope it grows as pretty as this one! I wish I'd seen this color when shopping.

Many years ago, we had a tortoise who loved to eat hibiscus blossoms. He would prowl around and devour all that were on the ground, and then he would actually try to "climb" up bushes and snatch the blossoms he could see above his head! As you can imagine, that was not a pretty sight, More...

3:56, now that brings back memories! We used to have huge numbers of hibiscus when I was growing up in Fiji. I doubt if Canbera's a suitable climate for growing these flowers but I might have to look into it.

My neighbour has an equally beautiful one in the front of their yard...they also have a mango tree out the back which i stole the most beautiful tasting mango off .
